I have seen lots of blogs that even if they were spammed to death, there are still many people posting comments to them. Are they still helpful to increase search engine rankings?
Well, there are several ways to look at this, but before I get into great detail - What do you consider a spammed blog first?
No! Not obvious....Matt Cutt's blog has 1,000s of comments.... So, what do you consider "SPAM" on blogs?
I try to stay well away from anything that appears like back link building for the sake of back links. I tried a couple of Fiverr gigs that blasted out irrelevant spam links, and my site plummeted in the rankings, and it's still recovering. Lucky it was my test site hey. The links from this forum are no follow, I think, but I've been getting some traffic from forums, that's why I'm doing it.
Not what you said previously... So, because Wikipedia says its SPAM, then we have to believe that's SPAM? For all you know I could have written that article on Wikipedia... $hit, you could have written it too. Thanks for the Wiki reference... GC
Seriously, you gonna argue with me about the definition of spam? Go do your google search and you'll get thousands of answers.
If the comments are like, nice blog, this is spam especially when they put an obvious keyword in name
