Care to give us some detail about this - like how much and why ? Never seen any other host do that.

Again can you give more detail - like what this really means ? Do you count all free user downloads, or just the first 5 or so every 24 hours per free user ?
I ask because I'm looking for and alternative to my (and most peoples) current host, who have the same wording and always stated that they count 'all' downloads from free users, but recently admitted that they actually count the first 5 or so then skim the rest (actually we already suspected this but they confirmed it). So what's the sitch ? Please be honest. 'Multiple downloads' could mean anything, as we just found out.

Finally - what are the restrictions for free users - wait time - max per 24 hours - file size limit (downloading) etc

hmm... if you live in the UK you are charged more than people in Europe and the United States. everybody seems to be charged *9.99 - this is disgusting, like fileserve why should I have to pay more becuase i'm english? Fuck You. Charge everybody in the same currency.

I thought this was the official support thread, but if not then I guess I won't be getting and answers anytime soon.

I wish I could just fine a host that is honest, pays reasonable rates, has a script/network that can actually cope with the traffic. I don't care about promotions - I'm not interested in promises that 'things will improve' - I just want a host that works as advertised and who isn't afraid of providing the details we actually need to make a decision (see questions above).
Is this so much to ask ? Well I've been looking for a good while now and still ain't found it, so I guess... yes it is. (unless of course you know different ???)

I'm actually thinking of building a website to compare filehosts - to actually put their claims to the test in detail and publish the 'real world' results in a totally honest and un-biased way. I think that might be a popular website lol (not popular with most hosts though, I bet).
