Hi, I think all you know Google+ profile is dofollow. I'm interesting, if I make my profile 100,000 backlink, is this problem for google? does I block the search engine or Google +? when I make 100,000 backlink, next I add my website links. is it possible? Sorry for my English. Okay I hope you understand.
I found an article saying it is do-follow site. You can read the article here http://www.viralfuture.com/2011/08/how-google-plus-can-increase-your.html Code (markup):
Its true that Google+ profile is do-follow and you can place your website link in it. But Instead of creating thousands of backlinks to your Google+ profile just for the purpose of getting link juice to your website, I think is not good. It is better to establish good network there by joining other people or inviting others to join you, whom you consider important to converse with or learn interesting things from. This will help in reaching to a wide audience and build a massive customer base giving your business a wide exposure.
Strategy in my mind to get backlinks are that first we start to make contacts on g+ and try us best to provide unique information as they attract to want more and more information from us. But when we provide this information we will not put any links but by providing best information we made visitors to find links to contact us.
One things that is certain about Google Plus back links is that its going to play an important part in the metric Google use rank site so the more you can get pointing to your site the better.
Well, Google needs to trow every tool and gimmick in its armoury at webmasters to get wean them off FB and come to Google Plus. Also this things are not written in stones, I remember when wikipedia used to be dofollow as well. By the time Google Plus is launched properly they may change it to no follow.
I don't think the links from any social media site would be Dofollow. They are Nofollow and just serve the purpose of driving traffic to your site. No help increasing the PR.
It doesn't surprise me that it's dofollow, like temi said Google needs to pull out all stops to build up content and marketshare for the social network. Watch though as Google+ gets spammed to death and then turns on the nofollow... One technique I plan on trying out when my site is ready is to go live is something similar to this: https://plus.google.com/109938202835872364257/posts/21E81Dy3D1H It's not too spammy and it's likely to get shared.
I think its a fantastic gimmick, people like winning things so they will go for it. I thik I will consider running something like this as well
I just at the source code of the page. It doesn't appear to be hidden behind javascript or have the nofollow tag on it.... that's not to say it isn't choked off by other means though. Here's a test Rand Fishkin from SEOmoz ran on whether or not google+ could push up search rankings. https://plus.google.com/111294201325870406922/posts/Btn3T8itQed
A lot of debate over do follow or not. Is this not as simple as looking at someones profile with a tool like SEO toolbar and highlighting nofollow links. I did this and they looked to be do follow.
There's a site called you like hits http://bit.ly/qAMTLU (My Referral Link) That lets you build friends with Google+, but it's kinda hidden at the moment. It should be back as soon as they fix it according to their blog. It's also a great way to get more facebook likes since twiends stopped doing it.
