Your opinion on multi accounts

Whats your opinion on the admin making accounts and positing on his forum?
Im thinking about since the content is abit LQ and no one want to join an empty forum

but the only doubt i have about it right now is i get big (crosses fingers) mods might see there all from the same IP
and i could loose some creditably

    so is it worth doing?

I wouldn't do multi account. Just stick to one it'll go a lot further building your rep

I have 2 accounts myself, and many others have 2+ accounts as well, my question is,how come you just don't have a built in feature for logging in on the same computer to support this. Does it violate some sort of CoC or EULA?

It just seems silly to me that here you have people that are willing to pay MORE money for another account and they need to use a 3rd party program to do it.

arena2 - if you are the admin of your own forum why would you need to pay money to have a second account?
videobot34 - if you are trying to make your forum look busier you don't need to worry about your own moderators knowing what you are up to. they should know what is going on before you start.

Multi account not helpful. Just have one then make a reputation by contributing excellent and helpful discussion. Add more friends as well.

spending lots of time by logging in to multiple accounts is waste of time. being stick to one account saves our time and can also do direct interaction with our friends.

But if the purpose of the second account is to make your own site look busy then you're not worried about interaction with friends or "reputation".

Do people actually read the posts anymore before replying? I really am starting to think not.

Maybe they're just trying to wind the mods up by implying they're trying to make dp look busier than it is :)

Only do two or three account. Tell mods and have them do multi accounts too.

Multi accounts is a really bad it helps spammers & trolls from fully getting banned. There is one rap hiphop forum this troll has over 300 accounts so banning all his accounts is almost imposable they know of 6 to 8 of his most used accounts. If you have spammers & trolls on your forum if they have many accounts if you ban one then 2min later they will be back on posting again with no problems

videobot, if you're talking about your own forum, there is no need to do multiple accounts. All you need to do is fill it with quality content and eventually people will come. Give it time, patience is a must.

I would use couple of accounts to populate quality content. It's OKAY for your moderators to know this.
