How can i generate traffic for my blog?

My partner and I are planning to start a blog.
I was wondering how to generate a lot of traffic.
We don't really have a certain goal, but I certainly am looking for 100+ visitors daily.
Any Ideas?

Well, you say you have no certain goal for traffic, but, then say you certainly are looking for 100+ visitors per day. 100 visitors per day can be a little or a lot of traffic depending on your niche

If you are trying to make money from your blog I would say that you should first research your niche... Find out how many people are actually searching for your keywords. Then I would research your competition. It is feasible for you to get search traffic by out ranking your competition for your keywords and moving up the serps to the first page of google?

Once you have an idea of what is possible within your niche, a strategy as to how to get traffic will become more clear. Traffic for traffic's sake, however, generally isn't very profitable.

 

Here are some ideas you may find useful (some are vague) for web traffic generation:


1. Write about the position held and e-mail it to bloggers. Chances are that they link back to the web site.




2. Assign links to social sites of book marking in the web pages.




3. Include signature link in the forums that might point to the web page a businessperson is trying to promote.




4. Make sure there are opposite opinions on a topic, provided there is justification for every opinion. Some opinions may annoy certain readers with different ideas. This will encourage them to visit that web page to raise their voice.




5. Remember to post comments on blogs of other people and links to the web site.

 

Update your blog regularly, it is beneficial for you increasing quality traffic for your blog.
