I want to start working on oDesk as a worker do you think this is a good idea and is it trusted or does it scam?
No scam. I recently hired and paid a few workers from there. Its very competitive though, which means alot of people are working for cheap on there.
What type of services would you provide on oDesk? I currently employ several contractors through oDesk. I am always looking to find more reliable workers at a competitive value.
That is also my concern. I think you have to go through a lot of them and find the ones that could work well with you.
I worked in oDesk before. There are MANY employer scammers there, especially since the money isn't protected by escrow, unlike Freelancer.com
Odesk itself is one of the best freelancing network. But it depends on which employers you are going to work with.If you work with an employer who has a verified payment method and some reviews then you can work with him or her without any hesitation.
Ha, thanks for answering my question with a question. We need low cost article writers, quality article spinners, people who can manage multiple campaigns and working on multiple teams, forum posters, blog comments, article submission, press releases, rss submit, directory submit, keyword research, etc. Anything related to SEO. And we like White hat service. So if you can submit to 500 sites in one day, then we cannot work with you.
Odesk is awesome I just finished a small job on there and he was really good. The whole key is have good communication. Read profiles ask for samples of work and stuff like that
Sorry I can't help from this area I offer services in programming usually translation and transcription and even some times with designs + I don't actually offer low cost. Also, I'm sorry for not being clear the first time Thanks for your advice
oDesk Looks To Create Trusted Marketplace For Contractors..
you can definetly trust oDesk they even developed their own tool to track the time you are working on projects. Also they are arround for a pretty long time and I nerver heard from anyone he had problems there
Word of warning, oDesk collects 10% of all payments made to contractors and holds payment for about a week in a review status. I have had both good and bad luck on oDesk. Some contractors are very attentive to detail while others completely disregard instructions and ignore communications. More fires on oDesk than hires.
I don't get your point 10% is a normal rate and the review status only makes working there save for both sites
So what you are saying is that any employer has to pay 10% of a paycheck to a employee management or time management company like ADP? If this is the case then these companies are making huge money.
