You did good with the picture on the right side. However, the color scheme needs work. It is too dark.

 

Seems too dark. Good work on breaking it up into differing frames though. Just needs better colors and composition.

The fonts look weird. Don't mention Forumcash if that's getting in the way of a good design

 

The outlining of the text isn't very conducive to clicking. Please fix

 

Still too dark. Also, the outlining of the text means they won't get that many clicks. Look at johnchow.com and see the quality of some of the buttons. Each button must be completely different from the other.

 

Jay's is still better. YOu need to fix the left side of the header. The only thing that works is the right side (the Pinay image), everything else needs more work.

good designer just a friendly tip, subtle but sharp effects (like psd tuts), contrasting colors, and keep the layout balanced as possible, text sizes and etc, and not overcrowding and point viewer attention to the center, that is generic in all designs
