Read the blog, then make a comment that IS relevant to the thread and drop your link in there. If it is not related to your site DO NOT comment as you will be wasting your time.

The best way to leave comments on a blog is as follows:

    * Try to start a conversation by engaging other commenting parties (engaging others is a must).
    * Avoid linking unless they really add value to the discussion (your name is usually hyperlinked anyway and many blogs use CommentLuv and KeywordLuv as well).
    * Visit the blog consistently and remember to do so by bookmarking, following, and/or subscribing (this encourages people to visit your links and support you too).
    * Avoid generic responses that add no real value (typically, if it looks like a cookie-cutter response or is a mere yesman comment, no one will listen).
    * If you must disagree, be constructive about it and don't do it just to stir debate (bold statements and counter-points gain attention quickly but MUST be substantiated or you look foolish).

In a few words, don't comment just to get the backlinks. Do it to engage others and perhaps network with key influencers and like-minded individuals.

If you add value to discussions and start worthwhile conversations, opportunities for affiliate programs, guest blogging, cross-promotion, and even direct sales will come up.

A good example is how my recent comment brigading has lead to a strong circle of friends and colleagues I call my mastermind group. These folks know that I am fun to talk to, humble, and know my stuff.. So now they send overflow work and referral clients my way.

The same can happen to you. Here are some tips on engaging audiences:

    http://unbounce.com/seo/the-adaptive-seo-approach

That article basically provides a call to action for Inbound Marketers like us here: attract and engage. We have to be socially-responsible and authentic before people will trust and follow us. That's what true social (media) influence is really all about and it's a point that businesses, especially large corporations, tend to forget about or disregard. 8)

Blog commenting is to leave comment to a website. But if you comment to a website with a related niche of your website, the chances of getting traffic is okay I guess. But make sure you leave a quality comment, not just spam.

Make a relevant comment and be very Patient.

Most of the blogs may not approve your comment or take time to review it.

    Just be patient.

Blog Commenting is a very good SEO practice. But you need to make sure that you don't spam their by commenting like nice post, thanks for posting like this kind of irrelevant post. Try to post some valuable comment that is relevant to the blog topics. If you follow this basic rules then you will definitely get your comment approve over their. So try to implement this easy and simple step and see the difference.
