WordPress Membership Site & Forum [FREE!]

    Hi,
    I have been using many paid Membership Plugins [Wishlist, DAP, WP-Member etc] and Forums like vBulletin, but I have been receiving ton of requests from my clients asking me to build them a FREE Membership Site and Forum using WordPress. Any suggestions?

    I have tried S2Member Plugin and Mingle Forum & Simple Press Forum, not tried complete options though. I'd like to hear from you.

    I have experiencewith S2members and Im pretty happy with it.Pro version has a lot more features than free one.I havent tried other ones so I cannot compare.

    You could use "Mingle". The looks are much better than Buddy Press. Buddy Press, looks childish and Mingle at least gives the looks and feel of a real forum and it's extremely easy to setup and use. You can see a site set up with Mingle in my signature.

    Everything I list will be FREE...

    S2Member, it's a payment gateway that works great with PayPal and tracks your members after sign-up. Once set up, you don't need to do anything, it takes care of the new member sign-ups and cancellations.

    Theme: I like Zenlight because I like the wider theme to make the forum look bigger.

    Forum Structure: Mingle

    You might wanna check out these tutorials as well, which will give you a feel for how Membership works: just go for blueberryfish website and it will surely make you get more tips and ideas on WP plug ins.
