Just want to know what you all think of the site: The look. Layout. Ease of Signing up.

If any of you really like it and actually wanna join, there's a coupon in my signature to get some money off. But you get 7 days free to try it any ways.

To be honest, I don't like the "-" at the URL.

Also, the "O" in the logo seems to be badly drawn until one can note that it is actually a person.

Last, if I already have a linkedIn account then why would I want to use this service? It would be nice to see a frontpage that would answer to this question and explain it is better than other similar services.

Linkedin is more of a social network. My site is more of a database of Media Persons.

Sure. I just mention that you should explain this to your visitors on the front page.

LinkedIn has the advantage that anyone that is a professional is some technological field will already have profile. Instead of competing against them (regardless if you want it or not, you are competing against something that linkedIn already does) you could actually work with them and make people from the media business to feel welcomed. To sign in, instead of a new registration you link to their linkedIn profiles.

This is just an opinion of what I would do in order to make the site attractive to users.

When I try signing up and choose say, British Columbia and click on close list, it does not appear in the location box. Tried it twice with the same result.

The rest of the site looks great and its a really great idea!

Yes, I agree. I do not like hyphens in URL's at all. It not only ruins the value of a domain, it is just unfriendly to users.

I think it looks really good. No improvement suggestions. Like the colors too.
