Write unique content everyday on a niche topic. Once you have at least months worth of posts - join groups related to your topic. (Yahoo grps or forums). Start announcing your blog in a non-marketing way and you will start getting traffic. Make sure your blog is niche otherwise no point and not many users will visit often.

If you know your topic well - it is not difficult to write an article. It takes me 30 mins to compose a 500+ word article on my niche.
Yeah man... remember content is king. Write on something you love! If you examine the best blogs out there, some of them post up to 5 times a day when they were starting up!
