What do you think of this new type of advertising?

I came across http://www.cashcolumns.com. It seems like an awesome idea. If it gets enough attention through online media, blogs, articles, and press releases etc, the buzz should cause lots of traffic. This will cause people to buy top ad spaces and also drive traffic to the customers websites.

Some people seem to think it's a "pyramid scheme", but I disagree, pyramid schemes consist of nothing but sending money. This website has a product - the advertising space, which is supposed to drive traffic to customers websites (not much unlike the million dollar homepage). Plus, you can make 150% of your original payment back, that's a pretty cool idea!

    What do you think?

That's interesting. Weirfire suggested that domain in the mmmzr thread days ago and now someone had the nerves to go register it and put a blatant rip off copycat on it.

Tadashi made the original http://mmmzr.com and I don't think there's much scope for copies, just like how all the MDHP rip offs failed.

PS That CC site is badly designed with poor graphics.

The traffic isn't targeted....so I would consider it to be worthless.

First post reads like an advertisement. Bluecircle, just curious, does this domain belong to you?

I am sure he/she used some template for design. So not creative - forget getting paid positions.

I think they're both awfully designed. At least try and add some value. Be first or be different, and with different the saying doesn't mean worse.

Man, I should have bought the domain myself. I could have sold it to him for a $5 profit. ;)

If you're going to start an "I came across this site..." thread, don't make it about one of your sig link sites :) That's just wee bit obvious ;)

At first glance I thought the idea was a sort of blind-linking but seems like not

Personally I think these types of websites lose their popularity.

Its best to focus on websites/ideas that would be great in the long-term.

    For example, YouTube :)
    MySpace
    Faceparty
