Out of curiosity i am just wondering if everyone experience the same thing. Starting from 10 August my site traffic drop drastically around 90%. Please share if you are experiencing the same. I just don't want be alone in facing this . It's frustrating!!
I run a games website, and traffic has dropped by more than 50% since the last week of July. I don't know why, but the traffic just decreased dramatically one day and its now steady at its current dropped level.
Do you use Google Webmaster Tools? If so, log in and see if there are any messages in there for you. Have you changed anything recently? Do you have a good amount of unique content on your site? Have you been building spammy backlinks? Did your SERP's drop? Did all of your keywords drop in SERP's, or just a few? Is your site still indexed? We need some more information to be able to help you.
i believed that your major keyword have huge drop on SERP, you might need to check on your major keyword SERP
Wasn't the panda update released for non-english countires this month? Is your website targeting non-english users?
I use Webmaster tool and there are no message for me...some of my keywords still work and some article still stays number 1 or 2 in google search but the rest of articles are just gone out of the way. I still see my site stays 3 to 4 position in Yahoo and Bing but Google its just i don't know how to explain.
probably...and i want to know if anyone who experience the same thing so i am not alone here having the problem
Now-a-days Google is becoming serious about SERP's. There are a lot of spammer present who are building spammy backlinks which is responsible to increase your site's SERP's. So now we all have to be very honest on link building. We have to build quality backlinks and our site should have quality contents also. Otherwise Google Panda will attack your site and your site go down.
I have the same problem here after 11 of August! Some sites that copy my articles are still n-one on search results... really madness..... Panda not only hit-down original-posts but also helps the spam sites, if you are not agree is because your site not hit yet or because you continue lick Google!
Oh at least now i am not alone having this...so i am less worry now and keeps doing what i need to do. Maybe the Google Panda update is the one caused all the problem but i don't really see how it can benefit Google. The problem now is when search something some website have very long site link and messed up the whole search. Google even index every sitelink pages like login, information, contact us, etc. Some website have more than 10 site link and its really annoying to see on the search result. I like the way it was because sitelink can easily be found when visit the site itself.
you are not alone dude, i have same experience, yesterday one of my keyword still on the first page's #6, but now google kick my site on the #56 position It's frustrating
Now i feel the weirdness of all things out of sudden the traffic is sky-rocketing like a shooting star again back to normal....what i did just make a new post lol...that's what i called magic. Really!!!! everyone just do the same thing who knows you maybe lucky
Following the latest Panda algorithm, alot of web masters have experienced significant drop in their traffic, only solution is to continue what you were doing and hope it's just a Google Dance
I'm little worry in the first Google panda update some articles are still not found even it was original!!! Also i don't understand what google wants? why google panda hit also quality sites ??? Have a look at this funny video is cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=skbnL6ZPsIg
It is frustrating for sure. Just keep up with fresh and unique content and Google likes that. Basically, they're going to keep changing things to find the best search results for their visitors. We are all familiar with the junk that is churned out on the web these days. The quick templates that funnel auto content onto blogs but doesn't really bring any value to the reader. Those have hurt us all where Google is concerned. In their attempts to weed out the junk, it's also going to make all of us step and keep up. Just stay on top of your content and keep generating a buzz to your site and Google will hopefully improve your ranking. There are no simple solutions really.
I don't get too much traffic from Google so there's no really effect to me, but above replies helped me. so thanks
