    Hi,

How to remove those 404 errors in webmaster which are not on my site?

    Ex.
I have a site example.com and someone typed in browser example.com/abcdefghi which is not available in my site so this delivers 404 error in google webmaster.

So my question is that how to remove that 404 error from webmasters? I know how to handle 404 errors which occur after removing pages.

    Experts help needed.

    Thanks,

Wrong, google doesn't know if a visitor ended up on a 404 page, it only shows in WMT coz somewhere in your site or other there is a link to that non existent page (and WMT should be showing them), if you want it to be removed:

1-make sure there are no links to these pages
2-wait a month or so till slow google re-calculate things

Also if the pages are still indexed u can remove them by url removal tool, however this will not remove the WMT 404 errors!

Visitors can run into 404 pages "Not Found" on your website for several reasons:

URL typo or an error of copy and paste

Truncated or broken links on Web pages or e-mail

    Moved or deleted content
