I'm sorry, but I've asked a few questions today and just think that the responses are ridiculous. Everytime you mention the word "link" you get people saying "submit to many directori" and any time you mention "SEO" there are hundreds of people saying they can guarantee you SE position. In fact, I just asked a question "Do you think the content on my forum is good enough to drive members to the forum?". I appreciate the response, but the person has not even bothered to read the question. They are telling me about why I need to write good content and some (very basic) points on how to write articles for search engines. Does anyone else think the quality of information/answers here is declining rapidly?
Asking a question like "Do you think the content on my forum is good enough to drive members to the forum?" is just asking for junk replies. You're better off asking your friends/parents/kids for opinions regarding content.
I don't see anything wrong with that question. I'm asking people to give fairly simple answers, or a bit of critique on my content. Isn't that what a forum is for? To ask questions

Nothing wrong with the question It's just that you're asking the wrong people. With the exception of the savants in the programming forums, you may as well be trying to have a serious conversation with a bunch of kindergarteners. You can make the questions ridiculously simple, and they still won't get it.

Things will get better if Shawn takes the decission to ban "experts" countries such as India ... And yea things are getting worst and worst few years back you can find here people that earned real money online and real experts now you find liars "experts" and scamers/spammers SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ...
the quality is declining due to people just attempting to get backlinks to there sites.. they dont care what the post is.. ive seen some threads where peoples comments are completly irrelevant to the thread topic.. so in that sense thats why the quality in answers is falling rapidly
I 100% disagree with you.It's our members from India that give DP it's life blood.To me this is the most valuble country here overall.What they bring to the table is the wonderful politeness and a sense of respect that is part of Indian culture.Clearly you could learn a thing or two from our Indian brothers,that we appreciate so much on here.
Indians do form a significant part of the community here, but they are certainly not its life blood. Every country has good apples and bad ones- unfortunately the Indian subcontinent has more of the latter than the former, especially if you take their contributions to the forum as reference. Half of the posts smack of immaturity and lack any kind of forum decorum whatsoever. If more folks could be like Sachin410 ( an excellent Indian member imo), this forum would be a much better place. Regrettable but true.

I totally agree with the OP here. There was a time when you would post something and get a response within minutes here but that was way two or three years back. I know its not just this forum humanity overall sucks. Don't you guys see this as a link building opportunity? I mean you could post a link to a page on your blog and get a free backlink?

I love the subject of this thread I think the responses in this forum are very high quality compared to some other forums. Most other forums are spammed by people trying to sell hand bags, shoes, and all sorts of things LOL DP is one of the best and the responses aren't too bad in my opinion.
