Thanks. I installed it and working. How to hide the urls ? How to get channel id from ebaypartnernetwork ? (they have various options to add keyword, country etc.. What to choose ? )
I've this script on one of my sites http://www.programmes.jcprogrammes.co.uk and has experimented a bit with it. If you look at the right hand navigation Bar under Information there is a link to the UK Ebay site and a virtual identical link to the USA ebay site, so yes you can change the geographic target.
I want to use it. Any demo of working sites ?
Click on above link, though it had been modified to a different display but that is what is good about this script, you can modify it to your own needs or fancy.
Version 3.0 beta Get it here - requires PHP5 and CURL * Can be limited to specific eBay categories (e.g Women's shoes) * Can be set to specific countries using country codes (au, uk, etc…) * Can be limited to a particular eBay seller * All links are “nofollow†* Backwards compatible with TWP Auctions 2.x (hopefully!) There will be bugs! Let me know what they are
Hi Kerosene. Are the links rover links or are they appearing to be links to the site that uses the script?
They're rover links. I thought about rewriting the links (I do this on my own EPN sites), but it would involve using htaccess, which could easily end up with some people 'bricking' their sites. I'm trying to keep TWP Auctions as simple as possible - especially for the average EPN affiliate who isn't comfortable messing around with PHP and htaccess. I'm still thinking about making a pro version, but... honestly, I'd prefer to keep TWP Auctions SIMPLE and FREE, even if it does lack some of the features of the more tweakable scripts out there.
i must say very nice post readers may know more on this site have a look http://www.dynamixgate.com/wordpress-ebay-plugin.php thanks for sharing
If anyone is interested in trying the latest (unreleased) version of TWP Auctions (from March 2010), send me a PM and I'll send you the download link. The new version has a few minor tweaks, and also fixes a few bugs that have been reported since the RSS feed changes that eBay made in February.
Tried this and I love it! Just what I was looking for and the price is right! Also comes with great customer service! Thanks again. Bob
I've tweaked TWP Auctions to work with the new eBay RSS feed. If anyone wants to test it out, PM me and I'll send you a link to the new version.
Many Many thanks for this, have been looking for an Ebay add on for my wordpress sites, and whats amazing is its free...Will tell you if any bugs occur...
When i try and upload and install the plugin it comes up with...The plugin does not have a valid header. Any ideas?
Don't be put off by it not being entirely plug'n'play. The advantage of it not being a WP plugin is that you can drop it into just about any site. If you can spend 10 minutes setting it up, you'll have it working. If you then spend another hour tweaking it (with some VERY basic PHP), you can make it do whatever you want. ... keep in mind that every change you make takes you one more step away from the "Made from the eBay RSS feed" footprint that Google sees.
Hey, it looks like a cool plug in that could be used and customized with a little bit of learning of PHP. However, I visited the link in your original first post and it says the site has been compromised and hacked by vampire ponies. Is that just for fun or has your site really been hacked?
