More ways to make money with facebook

I think we're still missing with facebook. i feel like it's still a very largely untapped goldmine, just waiting for someone to come up with some crazy viral marketing ploy. People are making money off of it already, but I feel like it could still be used for so much more, especially the Pages. I see sooooo many in the 250K+ range. A good amount of the more popular pages are from other parts of the world, which I find pretty interesting. I'm really curious about the future of facebook and how people will continue to use it to try to make money. It's like having millions and millions of customers at your fingertips.

I was just posting a discussion about facebook fan page potential and how I believe there are a lot more opportunities to use them to our advantage. I thought it was an interesting topic and wanted to hear others thoughts. Is this not what this forum is for?

obviously I'm new to this all, so maybe everyone is already making tons of money on facebook, lol. I just have a couple pages with a few hundred fans so I'm trying to figure out how to expand them and possibly use them to help me make some money, but I don't know how to do that yet. I guess I will spend more time searching the forum and see if I can find some more info.

I can help you, but I have some questions
    How many fans you have?
Mainly from what country they are?
    What are your niches?
All of this information is necessary for monetizing your page.

Facebook is a great way to be making money, it's forever expanding and is so popular at the current time. On my old site I had an invisible 'like' button which followed the persons mouse, so whenever they clicked it caused them to like the page for the website which I had made. That brought me loads of likes on my page without them having a clue, therefore I could advertise new stuff on my website to them. There's lots of tips and tricks you can use to expand this, you just have to get to know it further.

Yeah, I have the same opinion as the above posters. Facebook has a great potential for setting you a great amount of income, but you need to know how to use it and get it to work to your own advantage. Several factors are important in making money via Facebook, so you'll have to figure out what works for you. PPC advertising is a great part too, as the above posters mentioned.

    This works extremely well:

Find a topic or niche that raises passion and debate. But make sure you can monetize on it. Something that people would either LOVE or HATE. Hint: Pitbulls
Create your Fanpage for LOVING Pitbulls
Target people exclusively that are interested in Pitbulls
A target population of about 5K - 50K must be met
    Go set up Facebook PPC
Get a compelling graphic making sure you have an arrow pointing down to the 'Like' right below the ad.
For the text, just enter something in the lines of: "Click 'Like' if you love Pitbulls" nothing more, nothing less.
If you are targeting a larger audience try lo lower it down by sex, age, states, etc... MAKE SURE your audience DOES NOT go over 50K.
    Test at least 4-8 ads
    Run the campaign on CPM
Soon, if everything works well (it has for me) you'll be getting 1-3 cent likes
Provide usefull content, content that will generate conversation, y'know
    Ask questions
As soon as you get AT LEAST 2K likes, 'recommend' your products and monetize.

Facebook is a social media platform - to connect with your fans. When you have built that relationship and trust then you can bring them to your email list and further into your sales funnel. Don't think there is any short cuts.

Spot on. But I found that most of the time PPC is where it's at. CPM can potentially waste a lot of money if you have a tight budget.
From experience, out of all my ads, 90% are PPC while the other 10% are for some reason more profitable in CPM.
