Choosing a registrar

I've been looking to transfer several domains to the same registrar to simplify management, but I'm not sure which registrar would be the best choice. These are all .org names with the need for private registration. I'd say cost would be the biggest concern, since the fees quickly add up. I've looked at Namecheap.com, Netfirms.com, GoDaddy.com, and Name.com so far, and Netfirms is the cheapest at 11.99/year. Are there other cheaper registrars that I've missed?

Yes GoDaddy is the best and cheapest option for generic tlds like . com . They use to have promo codes which would provide additional $2-3 discounts on regular basis.

I recommend you to choose registrar not only for price on domain registration but also for renewal, transfer price and support quality. I think that you should check offers from Eurodns.com, they are really trustworthy.

What domain extensions are you planning to register?

There are many Registrars available in the market.. make a kind of comparison research and choose the best (ICAN-accredited) one.

X-Registrar.com has .org for $8.49, and private registration only $1.95 (free with 5 or more domains per order). I've been using them for years. Their management console is similar to godaddy.

They also have a coupon listed on the homepage "5% off orders over $25 with coupon code 5NC25"

GoDaddy hosts and has all of my domains. Prices are hard to beat. Website isn't so amazing but you get used to it...eventually. If you are doing hosting, you can do host multiple domains with one account for about $7/month.
