Considering the only accomplishment so far for the Tea Party House is a "Credit Downgrade", for the Country they are suppose to be representing the poll is not very surprising.

Oh, there are rumors the Republicans are now open to the possibility for some Revenue increases.....stay tuned for further enlightenment.

And what about stimulating the economy - just follow the previous Congress and the upswing will begin anew...(Hint)

Only 21% of the American people "strongly approve" of the job Obama is doing: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ministration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Considering the only accomplishment so far for Obama is a "Obama Credit Downgrade", for the Country he is supposed to be representing, the poll is not very surprising.

Oh, there are rumors that Obama may not run for a second term.....stay tuned for further enlightenment.

And what about stimulating the economy - just follow the Tea Party and the upswing will begin anew.

In today’s political environment 22% "Strong Approval" from (Rasmussen) sounds pretty good.

The Generic Ballot for Congress is the realization the Tea Party has become the problem not the solution.

The Tea Party is not only the reason for the Downgrade in the Nations Credit Ratting, the Tea Party is also responsible for passing the least productive legislation to reduce the Nations Spending of all the proposals that were pending.

I'm arguing for the healthcare money, not the bankers money. The 'ridiculous' argument was relating to the comment "if they hadn't of spent it there we could have spent it there" - which could be said about anything so isn't worthy-enough point to use as an argument for making a case, imho.

Just admit Bush left the country in a mess and left Mr Obama with a huge shithole to deal with and there's nothing worse than having to start off well behind the eight-ball. Once you can at least admit that your 'team' totally fucked everything it touched, then I'll listen to you crying rivers over what Mr Obama has done to mess it up ever so slightly more. Admit it, Repubs put you on the road you're on and I'll admit Mr Obama has made it worse (in some ways) and better (in other ways). at least he's doin SOME things right, as opposed to the last bloke.

I dunno, left wing? democracy? capitalism? greenies? you can tell me if you like. FTR: you won't catch me pushing the bankers, or indeed shareholders or anyone dealing in pretend money. I agree with Madoff, EVERYTHING'S a fucking ponzi scheme. I also wonder why Bush and his mob wasn't charged as criminals too, seems there's different rules when you get power in USA.

As I said to The Webby, my 'ridiculous' argument comment was relating to the comment "if they hadn't of spent it there we could have spent it there" - which could be said about anything so isn't worthy-enough point to use as an argument for making a case for anything, imho. Once it's spent, it's spent, argue for another stimulus giving you 17,000 & then it becomes a fair point.

It's P&R mate, ain't we supposed to argue? isn't this all about thanking DP for allowing us the use of this wonderful site? Making convo, earning DP heaps o Google cash so they'll still be here tomorrow? Arguing nicely is the point, go on, I can handle it. I'm happy to do my part.

Gingrich had it right, the above process is a waste of time. Just as the Summer was spent in partisan politics by the House that produced virtually no savings while raising the Debt Ceiling by 2 Trillion Dollars the Select Committee will only be completing the minimalist legislation.

The Administration should take the opportunity to resubmit its balanced proposal of 4.5 Trillion in savings and work with the entire Congress to pass legislation that will benefit the Country rather than a select few.

The level playing field will enhance the prospects for legitimate Legislation that will return the advantage to the Administration.

Thanks Breeze. We can officially say you are for destroying the country with ridiculous monetary policies. Breeze Wood is for lots more DEBT on the backs of Americans. You are for big corporations and against the consumer. You are for a future with no middle class, especially for minorities. You believe in making money "out of thin air". Breeze Wood, your beliefs are not just un-American, but you believe, like Bernanke, that gold is not money. Wise up, or you lose, as does the rest of the country. Cringe some more : ( see minute 4:55 in the video )

Gold is not money ? Says who ?

Bushie, just admit that the economy was doing fine until the Democrats took both Houses in 2007. Pelosi left the country in a mess and left Mr Obama with a huge shithole to deal with and there's nothing worse than having to start off well behind the eight-ball. Once you can at least admit that your Pelosi totally fucked everything she touched, then you can understand how Mr Obama has done so much to mess it up ever so much more.

Well, I'm asking you. Prosecuting those on Wall Street responsible for this mess is completely up to Obama's Justice Department. There are no votes, no committees needed, no Senate hearing required. All Obama needs to do is walk into Holder's office and tell him to go after the Wall Street bankers that broke the law. Right? So tell me why isn't Obama doing that? Why can't he fix it if it is completely within his power to fix?

Well seeing you're asking for my opinion, I believe when you have your hand in the pocket of the thief it's hard to point the finger at him. It's like being surprised when shareholders vote whether or not to bail out the shareholders. Fate accompli imho. Same as the debt ceiling, there was NO way they were gonna NOT vote for it. It's all about making an impact and giving the public the delusion they had a hand in it and it was done for them! - YEAH RIGHT!!!!!

Added: Why did it auto assign Corwin's quote to The Webby? I manually corrected it.

Now that does represent a shift. I find it notable that even the presidents most partisan and fierce supporters are starting to acknowledge the pink elephant in the room. Here is Ali Velshi, socialist money man and Obama zealot having a brief moment of clarity on CNN.

this is bad for obama, the credit rating downgrade. but who is going to replace obama from the republicans?

i would have proped up palin but she has not shown her head at this juncture. romney?

i can see how a great campaign can bring him to election possiblity but he is riding the health care angle when his whole party was against it when the concept was on the table for the nation.

that is the problem about republicans, it's not what you present, it's how you present it, forget the content when it is usable. corrected me if i'm wrong about what party is approaching this angle.

but as an independent now i think this is important.

More like that's the problem with politicians and parties in the US, it's not what you present it's how much money your campaign has.

i am hoping that most americans can figure that part out. these two larger parties can figure out the money part. there is enough money from donkeys and elephants to support a campaign, but is each campaign acceptable?

No laws were broken Corwin, they were following the Policies and Principles instituted by the previous Bush Administration.

Also Corwin, as everyone is saying the problem is how much Money the Parties have and what was paid for to get it is likewise the answer to your question.

Not with me it isn't. I've never claimed Mr Obama was the answer. I've claimed Mr Obama is FAR, FAR, FAR better than any Republican being in the office at ANY time, ever and I stand by that one. Having seen the neocon's agenda, they need shooting first IMO. Yes, I do believe they're ALL liars, theives and cheats, but think the Obama admin is LESS corrupt than others. I admit I may be wrong and YOU would probably have a BETTER idea than me what your leader is doing, and that may be a shift, though I think everyone here (that doesn't spin words) has mentioned a few real causes, 20 times over.

Such a sad day when the best thing you can say about your favorite candidate is that he is a liar and a thief, but you feel he is less so than the competition. By the way, the debt numbers racked up by Obama only tell one side of the story. All that "stimulus" money given away to create the massive debt was received by someone, and those somebodies were Obama political donors and supporters for the most part. When you consider the amount of money that was given away, it is unquestionably the single largest theft of taxpayer money in the history of our nation.

I suppose you would rather measure the depths of Obama's depravity by some other means, which has some other Republican candidate coming up worse, but its hard to argue with the objective and measurable numbers created by Obama himself in the last two years.

As Ali Velshi points out in the clip I linked, the appointment of the worlds largest tax cheat to the position of "jobs advisor" is a stick in the eye of the American people. Its beyond embarrassing. It is obscene. It's a defilement of the office. Its an abomination.
