Microsoft is keep losing their mobile and tablet market, do you think the next generation Windows 8 able to win back user market?

Windows 8 is bundle with touch feature, which means you can use it for both working and entertainment purpose. Do you like this feature?

The version I have played with does not seem to me like the one that will turn the tide in favour of Windows, they have just lost too much ground to the leading devices powered by Android and others, fingers crossed but I personally do not think Windows 8 will bring a radical shake up of the market.

You are presuming Microsoft EVER had the mobile or tablet market. For a while, some small portion of people owned a tablet like notebook that ran Windows but nothing like what's on the market today. Windows phone usage was small to begin with and usage dropped dramatically this year. Besides not having a clue, there is no hope for Microsoft.

I create this poll, because I believe that tablet OS is very dependent on number of apps, apps is depend on developer. The large number of dotnet developer sure can do something to compete with ios and android, the chances to win back is still there.

Again, to "win back" something means they had to have something in the first place. Microsoft never had much of anything and has even less now. There is nothing to "win back".

I think Win. 8 looks great, now I have to choose between an iOs powered phone and a Windows phone, but I'm nearly sure that Win would be a better choice since I'm using their OS for very long years. As for the tablet market, nobody can predict what's going to happen in 1-2 years, for example, IE was the king and the queen of browsers but than others came with innovative solutions and most of the people already switched to other alternatives, this could happen to Apple too. On the other hand, right now Microsoft is nowhere between the table market rulers, but I can see that they have enough resources to invest and gain popularity in this market.

Personally I wouldn't blame Microsoft, they produce lots of bad products/software (IE, earlier versions of Vista) but - at least - they don't overprice their products like Apple. Lots of Mac users say that Microsoft is bad, however most of the programmers are using Windows and/or Linux because most of the useful programmers are stable on their platform rather on other platforms. Feel free to disagree with me.

I bought a Windows Phone 7 device, thinking that microsoft was really on the right track with their new mobile line...turns out i was wrong. the development has stagnated already for wp7. lack of apps is very annoying, no custom ringtones, no multitasking...makes me blind with rage that i tuned down an android phone for it. that all being said the new mango update is supposed to fix a lot of that.

Now that i got all that out of the way, im hoping win 8 will be a bit better received.

No choice to make. Windows phone means no apps, no developers, dwindling number of users.
Apple has far more cash on hand and is a bigger capitalized company than Microsoft.
Apple products are not over priced. Microsoft does not guarantee your hardware will work with their software. Apple does. Microsoft does not guarantee hardware at all. Apple does. Microsoft has no stores for service in your city. Apple does.
Linux is a Unix-like operating system. Mac OSX is a real, certified Unix operating system. Many things that run on on Linux also run on Macs.
