Ok, I just got my CJ account and got approved by one affiliate and its a payday loan company. In the "get links" column it says get html or get javascript now my question is what in the hell are they? Are they banners? if I insert the code into my website what happens? I know I'm a true newbie, but any advice would be appreciated.

In the "Get Links" section, it specifies if it's a banner or a text link. Usually the majority are banners, just copy the HTML code and paste it in your page. Just try it, whatever you insert from CJ won't mess up anything in your site. CJ provides the banner size and everything you need to know. You can even preview the banner before you insert it in your page.

They pay once a month. No clue how long it would take to get where you are. Maybe a week or two?

One other thing. If you're running a Wordpress blog that you're going to be putting these ads on you might want to go for the HTML rather than the javascript. Sometimes those act up with some of the plugins you might use.

If you insert the code into your website you are going to see the clickable product banner.

Be sure to check with the companies that you're approved with around holidays. They usually put out special discount codes and coupon links during those times of the year. When you view the companies you have a relationship with on CJ, there's a section that shows all the link types (ie text, banner, coupons, etc.). Click the coupon link to see if there are any current offers. Sometimes the companies in CJ will offer special coupon codes only available to their affiliates within CJ.

In my view HTML is preferable because not everyone has Javascript enabled and even then it often doesn't work properly.
