What is the advantages of directory submissions?

Do you know the advantages of directory submissions please explain, I am interested in knowing! I would really appreciate some professional advice here.

Directory submissions are outdated now. There is no use of submitting in free directories as it takes months to get approved. Any how if you wish to do free directory submission. Here is list of free directories:

No use of directory submission. However links from Dmoz and Yahoo directory are very useful.

 

They are supposed to provide you with backlinks for your SEO campaign, but the relevance of them nowadays it not as important as they once were.

 

That's right! Directory submission is useless now. I tested it for my 3 websites 4 months ago, but none backlinks from directories I submitted.

 

I also think directory submission is now only story. It will better if you try to search your relevant website and make link partnership. It helps me alot for my website.

 

Once it was useful in terms of getting traffic and backlinks but now people leave up directories especially the free one.

No its not true. Directory submission is a complete waste of time.

Not that many advantages as you might think actually. The only advantage is that you'll be getting backlinks with your own anchor text which means that you can improve your rankings as well as be able to get some traffic if your site is interesting enough.

 

I don't think directory submissions are dead. A healthy link portfolio has those too. Directories provide anchor text, another IP to your link diversity, another backlink, and if it is a good directory potential new visits to the site.

 

Directory submission is still a important step to get your website on page one of google. You could do a search on google with the following keyword. (top rated directories, best directories) If you can afford it, purchase a low cost directory submission software or fine a website that will submit your websie for free. I personally have been submitting to directories for years and I have many website in the top 10 on google.

You need all the high backlinks you can find. Many directories have PR Rating of 1 to 8.

 

Search engines find your site following the backlinks form other sites. If search engine bots find your link on the directory sites, they will follow those links to your site increasing the chances of your site being indexed in search engine databases.

 

I have never had any success bookmarking my own website. However, using article blasts and submitting the articles to directories has been very effective.

It is helpful, however, not as much as it used to be. Most of the directories are never updated by the owners. Also, many of them offer free services which take 6 months for approval. We should check the websites where we are submitting the links. VMOptions is the great collection of directory sites.

 

Most directories are mirror sites that share the same IP. Paid directories may provide quality links but with free ones..its not worth the effort.
