$25 LOGO + Business Card Design. Simple, fun and effective. 72 hours.

Hi guys,

I need a professional logo and business card designed, hopefully it won't be too hard. These will be for web and print so it is important they are high DPI and vector or scaleable.The business cards and logo are for personal use, not for a business (they will have my name, my contact details, my personal web site etc).

The logo should be a combination of the letters E and D (the initials of my name). It should have the ED somehow intertwined with each other, maybe on a 45 degree angle. Hopefully you can think of an intriguing and effective way of doing this. Maybe if you were to somehow overlay them and create a shape inbetween or something, or perhaps the ED is surrounded by an oval and there is a shadow effect or something.

This logo should then be transposed onto an effective two-sided business card design (which you need to make as well)

The colours for the logo should be a combination of light/dark gray, and the business card should be a darker colour which of course works with the logo. The ED logo will also be used on my personal web site.

Please post all entries in this thread. If you have any questions please ask here and I will respond as soon as possible. The design with the most ingenious and effective ED combination will be the winner, and I will announce it on this thread when time has expired. Payment is by PayPal and is $25 USD.I will also be giving feedback to the designs daily, so keep checking back.



In case this was confusing, here are some examples of some combination letter logos. I don't want these copied, they simply give an example of cool effects you could do.

Sun Microsystems (the box spells SUN no matter which way you look)



Fedex Logo (the white space between the ex in Fedex is an arrow)


Rolls Royce (just 2 Rs on top, nothing interesting inbetween)

These are both nice but I would really love an effect in there, something that people will point out and go "Neat!". I like the top one more.

I know it might be hard with those 2 letters but at the moment they're a little plain.

This is something different, but unfortunately I don't like the overlay effect. I think side-by-side is better.

This is a good submission.

Interesting concept, thank you for the submission.

This is much better than the submission before but unfortunately I think It'll need a cool effect or overlay feature.

 

These are my favourites so far. I like the subtle shadows and outline, as well as the original concept. It has a great modern and energetic feel.

I think of the three i like the bottom the most, but would you be able to try the angle going the other way? And maybe, if you'd like, to submit a few more variations of this concept?

You'll need to differentiate it further.

 

I don't feel like they're that similar. The D looks the same, but the E is definitely different seeing as the one you showed doesn't even have the left vertical bar.

If you think they're too similar then that's fine, but I didn't copy that one.

You can just ignore the ones I've entered I guess.
