Well I was going to try to sell copies of this but I'd have to keep giving it to more beta testers anyway, and I've caved in after waiting too long to find out from them what needs to be changed. The script was inspired by Dan Raine's production for his 15k Challenge which made almost $15,000 in 30 days starting with a budget of $150. The site that he developed to make that money had a feature whereby its customers were offered an upgrade to their access if they invited a certain number of friends by email. In this way the site promotes itself and starts building a commitment based relationship with potential customers. Script features: Easy copy & paste installation Fully customizable Effortless email list growth Outputs clean code that is easily styled with CSS OPTIONAL email verification Your host requirements: PHP 5 <= Access to mail() No SQL required Now, I've been waiting for beta testers to let me know whether the mail() works. That happens to be the only thing I can't test because I don't have a host that allows mail(). I'm willing to try to correct any problems with that, and also with any installation or customization issues if you post the issue here. I wanted to host the file myself but my free host doesn't allow the .zip extension and I certainly don't want to anger my freehost either ... x__x So on a related note if you'd like to make a donation (pm me) or add rep it'd be greatly appreciated and worth your while.
No, but only because it uses file_put_contents and variable reference passing (like &$variable). I could learn how to get around that. I'm not sure anybody even likes the script yet. p;
Always try to create your scripts so that is suits the mostly used languages. PHP 4.x is more widely used than 5.x Peace,
Thanks for the advice. I see the cpanel demo at HostGator uses 4.x Sorry everyone, I will learn to make it backward compatible, I just gotta do some other stuff first
I wish there was! I haven't even so much as heard back from anyone that it sent an email successfully! If anyone has so much as uploaded the example, say something! P:
Yea, currently it won't work with less than 5 because of file_put_contents and &$variable addressing Thanks to The Critic (Survey Critic) for hosting the download! http://www.surveycritic.com/downloads/sesaame101.zip
I am always glad to see free scripts. Do you have a live working version or demo of this up? Is this script like the free crafty books site?
