when you accidentally close a tab, right click on any space in any tab and click "undo close tab" you can undo closing last 10 closed tabs i think
that's awesome. I am not an accidental deleter for the most part but I certainly remember this trick!
No, I'm having no problems what so ever. I am even using a version of the classic theme that I customized and am not having any problems. You might want to review any extensions you are using and see if one of them is giving you problems. I have found some extensions are no longer necessary due to improvements in FF2. For instance I have now uninstalled an extension to customize tabs and a search box resizer.
Sometimes it freezes and i've to end task and open again i think it's kinda bugged, but the session restore is working and i can restore the open tabs when i open Ff after a crash
It sounds like a corrupt profile to me. Either that or the disk that holds your Firefox Cache is running out of disk space. A couple weeks ago Firefox was getting really cranky on my computer and my wife's computer. When I discovered that the network drive we were using was 95% full and then cleaned out the detritus Firefox started working just fine again. Quite literally a hard drive that is over 90% full (regardless how big it is) just doesn't perform well and in my case caused problems for Firefox because of slow read/writes.
I recently used FF2 in my computer, at first, it works fine with me but suddenly...yesterday, while I was uploading some files.. (I was creating a phpld directory) I was almost 75% finished when all the files disappeared! I dunno what happened! I keep on looking for a couple of hours, refreshing! When I asked a friend of mine to view the site that I was working on, he said that it works fine with him, oh man, he can view the site with IE but I can't with FF2! Then earlier today, all things were back in normal, files are there, and I can view the site now! Do you think the problem comes with FF2? Nuh, I know halloween's near but I don't think that there are spirits playing in me...lol
I got the new firefox to work by uninstalling it and then installing the new version and I'm liking it but for everyone that wants an old version back, the archived versions are here http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ Lisa
For those who are using Firefox 2.0 and would like a more compact theme than the default theme, see my thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=169552 about a very compact theme I just got approved at Mozilla Add-ons.
See the thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=163521. In that thread I posted links to three CNet articles that review and compare IE7 to FF2.
