Promoting New Friends Site

Hi Friends,

I have started new friends site Friends Caffay http://friends.myprodays.com Please suggest me tips and trick to get visitors. Search engine and other free traffic martketing tips are preffered.

As its a social network site.. you have to take lot of efforts to make it popular as Internet is full of them... btw some suggestions
1) change the theme as it doesn't look nice or attract people.
2) add your friend and build network.

 

The basics for now

• Social Book Marking
• Free Ads sites (I have a new one in my sig, but also look at the 'big' boys in the niche) 
• Backlinking - article creation, guest posts, etc
• Keyword Articles.  Put some articles up on target-able keywords in your niche,  then backlink like crazy
    

 

 

I think you should try and sell this idea of your social site to your friends. Try and make it popular among them. Ask for there feedback and implement any changes as required. I think social sites should grow naturally as a result of people wanting to use the website.

I have already tried with article creation, directory submission, video and social bookmarking for http://matrimonial.myprodays.com. I got almost no hits and google gives 5 hits per day. See attached file for complete sites that I tried.

My doubts are, is really article, directory, video, social bookmarking works? Since other matrimonial sites has 14,00,000 back links. I was not even able to make 1000 per 6 month, since directory links are deleted in 3 months and most of the article and directory submission were in pending - not getting approved.

So I started own domains like

http://www.thinkingforums.com - http://www.myactivityforums.com - http://articles.myactivityforums.com - http://directory.thinkingforums.com

It shows backlink in google webmaster. Even though it gives millions of backlinks, but pages were not even coming within 6th page. I wrote message to google about and got reply from them saying we found no violation on your sites.

I left with no hope, then finally started friends site. But only 5 friends are added from my side. It is not exapanding it good fast. Very slow. It is in beta. Still few ideas are there to implement. So I tring to do side by side.

My main idea is to promote matrimonial site only. but started almost nine sites to market that, but no luck for me

I will spend some time to make home page look good.

Please tell me the steps where I can implement one by one and see some (at least 100) users are coming for site.

Please bookmark your site as much as possible and discuss it on social forums like FB, Twitter etc. You will certainly get some positive response in short span of time.

 

If you want free traffic, you can go the route of social networking sites. Make sure to make your site a twitter that posts updates to your followers. Use Ping.FM to do this better.

Not really too fond of the pink and it doesn't really stand out to be honest. Add a banner and that'd increase chances of people staying. Good luck!

 

If you haven't yet, google for google adwords free trial. They usually provide you with free $75 ad credit which can do quite well if used right.

I think it is easy to promote as it is the kind of website where visitors don't get thing except excitement, sociability etc but it need some feature, design or characteristic which the visitors love which right now does not seem to me in it while browsing
