Need to send out newsletters... but cant. Need some help.

I have almost 40,000 accounts on one site that I have and 8,000 on another. The problem is that I cannot, with my ISP (since I host 4 servers in the house), send out that many emails when I want to a) send a newsletter b) do something like feedburner to send out emails about new main news articles that have been posted or c) send out "we miss you" type emails.

Every legal avenue for newsletter sending that I have seen requires too much money per month for this effort. In every case, requires special pricing and that would only allow us to send 1 email at best in that month.

What we need is a type of email relay with authentication and want to do it legally with proper opt-out measures. Does anyone know of a solution?

Are you using a bulk emailing software? Or are you looking for an actual service in which you can use an SMTP server to relay your messages?

When I first started on the internet I had a similar problem. I used a free autoresponder and built a list of 7000 subscribers.
Eventually I had to abandon as it did not have sufficient features to send out attractive newsletters. I made sure that I
did not make that mistake again. I use Getresponse and do not have to fuss. You can also try Aweber and Icontact. I heard they
are good too. It is well worth the money spent.

Thanks for all the responses. Mailchimp is just like the other solutions (Aweber, IContact, GetResponse), etc., it is expensive for all the subscribers (opt-in) that we have. I think what I need is an SMTP relay (not blacklisted and not black hat) that I can send my emails through. I can't afford to spend $200-$300 a month to send emails out to my 30,000 recipients. $20 yes, $30 perhaps, not $300.

Dont use a bulk emailing software as these emails tend to end up in the Junk or Spam folder, You would want to do approach the problem manually.

Don't try to mail to your entire list until you start making money.

With most autoresponder services you can mail to 10,000-20,000
    for the normal monthly fee.

Mail to a sub-section of your list until you start making enough
money to afford mailing to the whole list.

By the way, if you import your list to an autoresponder service,
in most cases they will have to opt-in again and you are likely
to lose 30%-75% of the list.

That's OK, especially if the remaining are responsive.

When you have a responsive list, you can always use a site
like http://IMAdSwaps.com to regrow your list through
    ad swaps.

So, don;t worry about your list shrinking temporarily.

    Hope this insight helps.

    There are two possible solutions:

    1) Order several budget VPS and set them up as mail relays.

    2) Order a single VPS or a dedicated server and install a bulk mail program like ListMailPro or phpList.
