Alexa Rank is Unique Rank?

    I've been wondering that Alexa Rank is having "unique rank"?

    Example: A website says "redsample.com" - Alexa rank is 40000 and "greensample.com" - Alexa rank is 40001


    OR


    Is it possible to have both websites are same Alexa rank?

    Example: A website says "redsample.com" - Alexa rank is 40001 and "greensample.com" - Alexa rank is 40001

    Well, Alexa Rank is a top, and that mean it can be two websites on the same position.

    Yes I agree with sake7. But if you own a website do not worry about the alexa ranking. Still you can bring your website in the first page of google. I did that.

    Now a days most of the people is using Alexa Rank. But I am not interested in the Alexa rank. Few websites do not have 1000 visits but alexa rank is showing better than the website which is having 2000 visits a day.

    To answer your question - No two websites can have the same Alexa rank. Its a unique rank. But it varies on daily basis.

    Google SERP is depend on keyword and PR, if your keyword is niche it is easier to get better search. Nothing do with Alexa Rank.

    Yes,alexa rank is unique.It varies on daily basis.It depends on the daily traffic of a site.

    With Google Page Rank it doesn't matter much about Alexa Rank. Google has its own system of rating websites and . Google uses its Page Rank. Usually the sites with a higher Google Page Rank will turn up much better in search results as compared to other sites.

    alexa is traffic rank which is not unique infact, google analytics is perfect.

    Its a Unique Rank. But the thing is its changing daily. If your rank is very low it might take few months to change, But if its really high, you will see a daily change.

    i think is a unique rank,
    buysellads advertisers are every time researching our alexa rank, and they are numbering our site according our rank :)

    It's because alexa ranking is mainly based on the alexa toolbar, so the first site gets more toolbar installed visitors than the second. So the first site ranks better than the second. This is why it cannot be trusted completely
