Hi, I would like to create a product (fully outsourced) but I don't know where to start, I want to know how much does it cost to get a good product that people will buy? what are the best places to get the content of it and create it? thanks in advance
If you are beginning with a software product alone it will cost you around 20k to 30k but if you go for an alternative just ebook then for entire product it won't cost more than 6k.
you can compare prices first and it all depends on what product you want to creat, i know some one from fiverr she creats product for you to sell at $47 she creat only ebooks and in internet marketing niche.
In the beginning you should create your own product first and save a ton of money... 20k on an idea that could flop horrible would SUCK! DO what my partner and I did in the beginning... make your own e-book or software for free and just your time... build up and then invest!
Do it guerilla low budget style to gauge interest in your idea and then release an updated version at a premium once the idea's been proven.
Great Idea, The reason why CB merchants offer ~75% commissions is because they also get their information... There's 3 types of lists: 1. One you buy = Crap 2. Targeted to a niche = Good 3. Subscribers that have actually bought something = Gold Mine People pay big for list 3, and some affiliates will even give 100% commission because they get to their info and have them on an email list where they can send out future release to them and other products.
Has anybody created his own product and then marketed it successfully?, I am struggling with this one coz I don't have time to do it and I don't want to take a year working on a product then when I release it, It will not cover the cost. Also creating the product will distract me from focusing on marketing don't you agree?
Well it worked for me, managed to create and code the product, create website, do split tests, market it successfully and do all of that having full time day job as well. In the beginning my investment was really low, and how my profits increased I invested. If you believe in your product then go for it, but one year working on a product is simply to much, even facebook did not take that much time of development.
I have created an ebook, a website to promote it and got it on clickbank. I already had all my info gathered from years of experience so the actual writing of ebook took me about 3 weeks. I made the website in about 1 week. The total cost for me was less than 100$ (including clickbank's vendor fee of 49.95$). Also i had all the programs i needed like Office, Adobe PDF, Dreamweaver, Corel and others...If you have to buy all of those it will cost a lot.
I have lunched it about 3 weeks ago. There are about 70 affiliates promoting it, though i checked how they promote and i don't expect any sales of them. So far i have not made any sales. I must say i am not promoting the ebook at all. I have made it, made the website, listed it on clickbank and that was it. I have switched my focus to another thing. Just don't have time to promote the ebook. If i had enough money i would use it to advertise for affiliates. Cheers. Edward
I had same experience 2 months ago, I created a software and published it to cb market place, however I found out that it's very hard to keep track of programming/trouble shooting and marketing in the same time, look how many new products are added to the cb market place each month, how many of those do actually cover their costs, only several ones that are professionally made with well market study. btw your time is valuable here, when you spend 3 weeks working on a project, you could have invested it in other business.
You are right that time is very valuable, most people neglect that. I agree that it is very hard to do everything by yourself. I think you should focus on one thing you do best and so either you create products and let others promote them or you promote other people's products. Quality of course is important but even the best product won't sell if it isn't promoted well. I'm into marketing right now, but would love to have quality product I could call mine one day, but as said before, that would require great amount of knowledge, time and investment.
Don't forget that a product created by one man and same man doing the marketing is at risk of not being a quality product, very bad choice to start, I think you need to outsource at least parts like graphics design, copy writing, programming, ... you can't be the jack of all trades
