Hello everyone, I have an anime website that once used to be ranked 49k on Alexa. But then I shut it down two years ago for two years (For server expenses and such..). Anyways I'm trying to get it back as it used to be and better. I made the theme to look very professional and very easy to browse through the site contents. Note: I disabled all the pop-up ads because they're just plain dumb-annoying. Ste: http://www.vanimes.com/ What do you think? Please have NO MERCY on your comments, as I'm posting this to improve my site both on the theme side and the coding side.
The theme seems really good, however it is majory slow. Also you might want to consider content. there is limited content as I can see. So that's probably something you need to improve on. Other then that everything looks real nice.Â
I do not feel attractive with the home page other than the flash banner. The chat box and comment box loading cause your home page loading slow. You need have more picture and attractive anime banner in order to attract them to watch the free anime streaming and not only one.  Â
It is slow indeed because of the java and flash content.. I'll look for a way to fix that. And yeah not much content. Just reopened the site and started it from scratch Actually the banner picture changes after a few seconds (the slider slides showing other banners). I guess you're right, I need to remove the chat box from the home page. --It's only slow on the home page. When users want to browse through the site content it won't be slow for them. OK after reading your comments I have updated the website: -Added an ad-space instead of the chat box on the home page. (Removed the chat box from the home page.) -Added a registration option. (Registered users have the ability to show or hide the chat box and facebook like box from all pages.) I think the website is much better now.
