Usually when a new website launched, how long will it take to index to the major search engines, like google, bing and yahoo? Any idea? My product has been sometime but don't really see the listing in Yahoo. Any idea what might have went wrong? Please comments. Thanks

I have seen some take a few days - up to a month to get into search engine results.

If you add your new site to Digg it can be picked up very quickly.

Get some backlinks using Imautomator, making a squidoo, hubpages (even though it is nofollow), post to other article sites, also ping your site very time you make an update using pingomatic and pingoat. and you could also try buying backlinks.

I get my blogs indexed almost immediately by posting links to my first few posts on Reddit.

It takes a few days to a month before your site is indexed in Google. You can speed up the process though by letting Google know about your site. For more information, check Google Webmaster Help.

It can take much longer with Yahoo. SERountable says it can take months, unless you post your URL in Yahoo Answers.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

It is totally depend upon google for indexing. If your site has been indexed and but few pages still not index then you can go through "crawl url" in google webmasters which is a newly added feature.

Interesting question. I have a website that was launched about a month ago. It still doesn't show up when I do a search, even when I type the exact domain name. I have a few backlinks but for some reason, Google hasn't indexed my site. I see no evidence that it is even crawled. I signed up with Google webmasters and it does not show that the website was crawled.

it will index very quickly if you use ping option. ping option send search engines notification of newly created any page or website. so it become easier for your site to be indexed.

It depends on how frequently the search engine robots visit the site, you can speed up the process by submitting to social bookmarking sites like Digg and Reddit
