You can copy over all your content (you should be taking back ups anyway, there have been many reports of blogspot blogs having been deleted without warning and without ever coming back). Because they don't allow you to add the code needed to preserve your ranking and PR, you will indeed loose all that. Best you can do is remove the content and replace it with one clean link to the new place of the content. Whilst it may seem like a dunting task, the longer you leave it the more you risk your blogosphere existance and authority. Ultimately you are not in charge of a hosted solution. Getting your own domain and your own hosting puts your eggs in your own basket and the ball in your own park so to speak.
Hmmm...thanks. I'll have to look into that. I don't know all that much about that kind of thing..more just a writer. Thanks for the advice.
Thank you for your interest in PayPerPost. We are unable to approve of your blog right now. Blogs must not have gaps of 30+ days while being 90 days old from date of submission. Thanks! P @ PPP what to do my blog in my sign
Yeah nothing you can do with that. At least they are making sure that the content is good. PPP would be better if it was opposite. The bloggers put their sites up there and the advertisers pick who they want to do the opportunity. Then the people who just have blogs full of ads wouldn't take all the opportunities and the advertisers would get higher quality postings.
That is a good idea, however it wouldn't work because of the inability to streamline advertisers dollars. However, similiar practices do work, such as selling posts here on the forum . I think PPP will turn out to be another valuable advertising venue, it will just take some time and no doubt, like everything, price to advertise will drop like a rock. Before long it will be only $5 and under postings coming through.
You can always stick to what you do best and outsource the move. For around $100 you can get a good Wordpress design + someone copying the content over for you.
Hi there, I work for Blogsvertise here in our NJ office. I would be happy to answer your question and any other questions anyone might have. We offer 2 pricing models, A flat rate where the advertiser orders a set quantity of blog advertisements per order and our system and staff match them by category/theme best fit to their blog advertising purchase. Purchasing by flat rate will generally give a mix of pagerank from low to high... Or for power users, advertisers can have full control over where their blog advertisements are made. Advertisers can request a free-service upgrade where advertisers browse/search blog inventory and decide where they want to blog advertise. In this case cost structure is based on Pagerank and other related factors/popularity of the blog. With either method the advertiser is given a minimum of 3 or more links within each blog entry... So if you order 10 blog ads, you will technically receive at least 30+ links for your order. We also offer quantity discounts on those advertisers who purchase in higher volume I hope that answered your question, let me know if I didn't. Thanks!
Cheryl, I've actually run several small campaigns with blogsvertise and corresponded with you on several of them since late October. I'd recommend, blogsvertise (and actually have in my blog).
Sorry to bump here but this just came in from Cheryl you must be jooking with me right. It is not my problem if the buyer does not pay you should have taken money in advance! From: "xxxx" <xxxxx@blogsvertise.com> I regret to inform you but the Order placed regarding http://www.webdesignoffice.us/ has been cancelled. The advertiser has refused to submit payment for these blog entries although we have emailed them several times. Unfortunately, we have to ask the bloggers who did this assignment for us to please delete the blog entries about http://www.webdesignoffice.us/ from your blogs. We are very sorry and we hope you will continue doing the great job for Blogsvertise that you have done in the past. Thanks! Sincerely, Cheryl L. Internet Marketing Assistant
Well they made me give my card details up front. Maybe they are like reviewme and only charge the card once the reviews have been completed.
We are not pulling a fast one. The advertiser did pay us and then called his credit card company after he got his blog entries and disputed the charges. There is no way we could continue to help his website by having the blog entries up with reviews and links. I am really sorry for the email I had to send out I know this will really dissapoint some of our bloggers but I did want to say that we do charge advertisers upfront and we are sorry we had to do this.
