I found a lot of outdated info regarding my question ..So i want to get some better opinions for you guys. Am thinking of registering a few new domains and am having some thoughts about the length of registration ..will it play any role in googls SEO rankings if i buy them for 1 year or 3 or 5 or 10 ? witch is best ?
Don't make it too long. Use 17-20 characters length domain name. Registering a domain name for longer time does not do much impact on ranking. Yes, it affects in SEO, but it is a minor factor. Assuming that you will use that domain to develop your website, I recommend you at least 1 year + 1 year (= 2 years). While you must always keep 1 year as an extra time to expiry date, you will keep on renewing your domain on yearly basis. The extra 1 year will give you some SEO benefit and wont overload your budgets much. However you can add more years if your budget is good, but I dont think the prices will go up as much as your business go up in coming years. Hope it helps : ) Enjoy your day.
