Domain registration Length plays any role in SEO? (By today's googles standards)

    I found a lot of outdated info regarding my question ..So i want to get some better opinions for you guys.
    Am thinking of registering a few new domains and am having some thoughts about the length of registration ..will it play any role in googls SEO rankings if i buy them for 1 year or 3 or 5 or 10 ? witch is best ?

    Don't make it too long. Use 17-20 characters length domain name. Registering a domain name for longer time does not do much impact on ranking. But I heard Matt Cutts in the Youtube Video channel (GoogleWebmasterHelp), stating that it do help in giving a trust to the site that are registered and hosted for longer period but don't affect in ranking

    Yes, it affects in SEO, but it is a minor factor.
    Assuming that you will use that domain to develop your website, I recommend you at least 1 year + 1 year (= 2 years). While you must always keep 1 year as an extra time to expiry date, you will keep on renewing your domain on yearly basis. The extra 1 year will give you some SEO benefit and wont overload your budgets much. However you can add more years if your budget is good, but I dont think the prices will go up as much as your business go up in coming years.

    Yes in those video Matt did not say that the registration time is totally un relevant . but just a small factor .. am currently aiming for 2 years indeed

    Actually Google Trust long year Domain . If you will buy for two or more year Domain . Google will understand that you are serious and professional business or service provider
