Imagine living in the 60`s or 70`s, my grandpa always tells me that technological advantages make us materialistic, he feels that values nowdays are lost every second. After he mentioned it, i looked around my house and found that most of the stuff we have its in fact attached to technology sometimes, psp, ipad, Playbook, laptop, digital camera, cell phones, home theater and so on.... Imagine living a day without them.. I go crazy when i forget my cell phone @ home.......
It's kinda true.. I remember when I was a kid, We lived in a small town. And things were pretty simple for us.. We found happiness in pretty small things. Of course There was no Internet, no PSP, no mobile phones, no Digicam, Not even CD or DVDs. I remember going to Video rental shops to get movies on VHS tapes. It was a family affair.. We actually had time to sit back and relax.. And circus, circus was an attraction. Festivals, carnivals, they all felt different. I really wish I could get to live that time one more time...
The bottom line is the world is getting smaller and technology is not only making life easier but replacing jobs at a very fast rate worldwide. Your grandpa could have retired at 50 with a gold watch but we will be working are fingers to the bones getting new jobs regularly. We are just cracking other worlds like Mars using technology. As of yesterday NASA confirmed possible salt water on Mars maybe even life.Â
Technology at its part to help humans is good and thankful but interfering with one's life and changing it to be dependent upon technology is very hazardous sign of the coming future. You can see now that many of the population in the developed countries are totally dependent upon the technology and where as people in Africa do not have even the smallest amount of food available to survive and they are very less dependent upon technology and more on the natural help aspects of the world.
Time was so simple when apple and blackberry were just the fruits. Once upon a time we were just plain people. But that was before we began having relationships with mechanical systems. Get involved with a machine and sooner or later you are reduced to a factor.
