See the bold text: Narrated Abu Huraira: One day while the Prophet was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" Allah's Apostle replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents: 1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master. 2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except Allah. The Prophet then recited: "Verily, with Allah (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour--." (31. 34) Then that man (Gabriel) left and the Prophet asked his companions to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet said, "That was Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah said: He (the Prophet) considered all that as a part of faith. In recent times people who were once shepherds of black camels are now competing with each other in the construction of tall buildings: City of Silk Tower, Kuwait:  Tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, Dubai:   And soon to be the world's tallest building, The Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia:   How did the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم know these poor people living in the middle of the desert were going to compete each other in the construction of tall buildings? Because he is a real Prophet. -- "O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you My verses, then whoever fears Allah and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve." "But the ones who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally." "And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Those will attain their portion of the decree until when Our messengers come to them to take them in death, they will say, "Where are those you used to invoke besides Allah ?" They will say, "They have departed from us," and will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers." [ Allah ] will say, "Enter among nations which had passed on before you of jinn and mankind into the Fire." Every time a nation enters, it will curse its sister until, when they have all overtaken one another therein, the last of them will say about the first of them "Our Lord, these had misled us, so give them a double punishment of the Fire. He will say, "For each is double, but you do not know." And the first of them will say to the last of them, "Then you had not any favor over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn. "Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals." "They will have from Hell a bed and over them coverings [of fire]. And thus do We recompense the wrongdoers." "But those who believed and did righteous deeds - We charge no soul except [within] its capacity. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally." "And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [while] flowing beneath them are rivers. And they will say, "Praise to Allah , who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth." And they will be called, "This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do." "And the companions of Paradise will call out to the companions of the Fire, "We have already found what our Lord promised us to be true. Have you found what your Lord promised to be true?" They will say, "Yes." Then an announcer will announce among them, "The curse of Allah shall be upon the wrongdoers."" "Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they were, concerning the Hereafter, disbelievers." Quran, 7:36-45 --   Â
The story of the tower of babel existed long before your particular cult plagiarized it, and variants of stories containing tall structures have existed even longer. Ever heard of the egyptians? Funny how this so called prophet is always so vague. It's frankly idiotic to claim that 1500 years ago they were incapable of envisioning tall buildings.Â
aahhhh....., Islam was founded around 500 A.D., and this was a prophecy. Â the pyramids and tower of babel were before or are you referring to the person making the prophecy non-creatively?
i'm saying the concept of tall buildings in mythology existed long before a filthy pedophile wrote his work of fiction. This is about as convincing as me saying "in the future people will throw objects as sport and in competition with each other" and then future humans citing the olympics as a fulfilled prophecy. It's frankly pathetic to accredit this to a supposed "god". What a shit, incompetent god that must be.
"competing with others in the construction of tall structures" not "they will one day construct tall buildings"  These former shepherds who had lack of water to drink are now building tall expensive structures just for fun, just to break records. The tallest building in the world is in Dubai, they are now planning to build a taller one in Saudi Arabia. How did the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم know that these poor people who live in the desert would one day have this kind of money to compete with others?  This is a prophecy unfolding before our eyes.Â
............... "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." ................... My soul needs more than just these instructions to grow. (Also the fasting - not eating and drinking during the day I kind of have different views on that from the health point of view. Divine rules are supposed to give you health. This type of fasting is very questionable. Overloading your stomach is not healthy and that's what most muslims during Ramadan do - after sunset and before sunrise eating as much as their stomach can get. God does not want us to live unhealthy. Sorry, I don't see the wisdom in it. Anyway best wishes.)
When the angel Gabriel asked him "what is Islam?" he replied with the foundations of Islam, he didn't give a full reply, the foundations being: Worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." There are far more things that an adherent to Islam must do. Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights while in the desert, being tempted by Satan to turn stones into bread and eat them, among other temptations. (Matthew 4:2, Luke 4:2). This is the Jesus you claim to follow, and he fasted. Not wise of him? This thread is not about this anyway. Please don't continue to be off-topic.
He ate no food for 40 days. There were no fasting orders given to His followers. Fasting is not for everyone and should not be practiced just because Jesus did it. I never said all fasting is bad. There should be specific and wise reasons for fasting. The one who is fasting should do it by own choice and knowingly what the benefits are, not just by blindly following the crowd saying - "it is a religious duty, or I've heard it is good to fast". Some people do need to fast 1,2,3 or more days. The body must be strong enough to endure it, and they have to be mentally prepared too.
This is your personal opinion which has no basis, I have no interest in what you think. Jesus of the bible may not have ordered to fast, but he fasted himself and gave advice on how to fast: "Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:16-18. "Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast." Matthew 9:14, 15. This is the Jesus you claim to follow. You have said that "fasting is not wise" and by saying that you implied that Jesus is not wise. There are benefits in fasting and there many points I would like to raise concerning fasting, but as I said, this thread is not about that.Â
I understand. If it is about tower building competition prophecy I don't care either. One thing I would say in regards to: "..1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master. .." If that prophecy is too for present times, suggesting present day slavery: If it is really related to present times it is not a humane one. People should not possess people. One human being should not oppress or us another for personal benefits. Mohamad should have made a different statement. " Do not possess slaves."
This person is suffering from an unknown illness. What part of "do not go off-topic" do you not understand? This thread is no about slavery. Â
Someone should start a website where he simply "predicts" the future all the time. Then we could all say that a prophecy came true every day, yay! If it's as easy as saying that people will compete in building high buildings it shouldn't be that hard. I mean, people were already building higher and higher building at that time! Humans are competitive by nature, so why shouldn't they be in the future? I am now predicting that sometime in the future that people will compete about building the biggest space station! Do you think it will come true? Most likely.
You can forecast something like that because you know they have the means to compete with each other. However the shepherds of black camels were poor people, they lived in tents, they don't get much rain, not much crops grow, there's lack of water , lack of food, they lived in harsh environments of the desert, there was nothing to suggest that they would get out of poverty and start building tall structures for the sake of boasting and breaking records. Yet the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم pointed at them and said these people would one day be rich and compete with others in the construction of higher buildings. They have now built the highest building in the world already and are building higher ones.     I don't expect everyone to understand this prophecy because I know there's a devil who leads people astray.
1. You're saying that they were so hopelessly poor that EVERYOE living at that time NEVER thought they were EVER going to become richer? How stupid is that... 2. Did they set a specific height on the building? NO, they just said "higher buildings" which could mean 20 meters at the time, so what tells you that the "prophecy" became true now? Maybe they had a tall buildings 500 years ago? Also, the fact that he "predicted" tall buildings to be a sign of the so called "judgement day" just makes me laugh. Get real or die stupid.
".... When will the Hour be established?" Allah's Apostle replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents: 1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master. ... " He is interested only on the "higher buildings competition". But the oppression and the suffering of the slaved people are not so important do discuss about...... How did he missed there will be no slavery in these days? What is Mohamad attitude about slavery? " ..... Then that man (Gabriel) left and the Prophet asked his companions to call him back, but they could not see him.... . " Is Mohammad higher in development than the angels? The muslim posting this prophecy should be able to answer all parts of it .... not just the higher buildings one. Anyway something is not right in this "prophecy" and the poster sees only what he likes to see.
Yes, I'm only interested in discussing the 2nd sign of the hour, I thought I made that clear. It has nothing to do with me not being able to answer your question regarding slavery, it is just that it's off-topic, I told you this a number of times. Yes, that's exactly what I said. The way these shepherds became rich is primarily because of oil that was recently discovered, it made them ultra rich. Nobody knew there was oil under the sand back then. There doesn't have to be a specific height, as long as they are "competing with others in the constructions of higher buildings" the prophecy is fulfilled. They are competing in un-imagined ways when constructing the worlds highest buildings, the tallest one currently standing at 828 meters. Who would have ever thought that backward camel riding shepherds would ever do this? Nobody. But the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم knew it, and he was seen as a madman back then because he believed this.
