Got a question if i refer someone to oron and they start earning,do i get referral earnings off them,reason im asking is because i have over 100 referrals yet no earnings yet from referrals.Also looking for new referrals who want to earn money and they can earn off me,Have been going 5 months and earned over $2000 and am earning 10% to 20% more month on month,if your interested pm or use my link.

Yes i do see my referrals but i dont think any of them have started to use oron to make money yet just downloading.I dont run a site yet but must be getting the referrals from my file links i post on forums.

 

So... new VERY STUPID rules on extreme-b... they forcing posters to have mirrors if they posting links to Oron... how to earn now..

 

i dont understand this

this past two months i have increased a lot my free downloads count per day but the sales per free download rate has dropped like hell...

For instance i had a medium of 1 sale per 170 free downloads and now i have over 600!!!! downloads for a single sale....


Do you guys think this is caused by the holiday season???

would like to hear form someone experienced since im starting to lose faith.

since 4 days, intstead of 8-10 rebills per day like the usual, I'm getting 2-3 rebills. Weird....

 

I noticed exactly the same: used to have at least one sale for certain per 150 - 200 free downloads or less, now the average it's like 500 - 650 or more free downloads = 1 sale. I'm wondering too if it's about this season thing. Perhaps other sites weren't much developed before (FSc, FSv, WU) so Oron was a great alternative, but now they have grown to great speeds and you can download as much as you like so people are turning to them.
Also, sites like Forumophilia turned Oron only. That's very fun and great at the beginning but sales go down as the time goes on. Now I'm getting pretty much nothing there. PornBB seems to be on the same road since nobody is going to use hotfile, rapidshare or megaupload for money making. Having alternatives present around Oron brings a lot of new traffic (new users) to any site, which otherwise gets reduced as time goes on if things are settled as one-host-only.

Has the number of your sales become smaller than usually? It could be that they implemented a new system in which: if sales go down - rebills go down, automatically. I'm just wondering about this, not saying is necessarily as such. It's just so weird that rebills go down at such a rate as time goes on. And as soon as I get a sale. a rebill pops up in my account.
On the other hand, people might be turning away in big numbers and canceling their subscriptions. Other sites seem to grow more rapidly and offer more downloading capabilites.
However it is, for me, rebills certainly disappeared in numbers, I can't dispute that. The 70% plan is way more attractive currently.

 

The number of downloads and new sales didn't decrease: during the weekend (sathurday & sunday) I got 14 new referrals, several renewals and I made 130 $ on sathurday and 211 on Sunday. I have around 3,000 downloads per day, half from premium users and half from free users. The weird thing is that since the past thursday I'm not having the same number of rebills I used to get (8-10 per day). I have right now 691 referrals so it's normal that I'm used to have several rebills every day. I wonder if there is an issue with the credit cards processor or a bug in oron stats.
If users are running away the only explanation is: remove that damned 20 GB download limit that is pissing off everybody. 20GB means nothing for people browsing forums with thousands of megathreads and nobody is going to buy 2 accounts in order to download more.

 

I agree. Would balance things up with the other sites. Sadly, I don't think they can afford that.
This is the wrong age for a mere 20 GB limit - even if you're just downloading adult stuff. It's probably the main reason why'd someone discontinue an account subscription.

How is possible that Oron can't afford that? There are a bunch of new filehosters like filefat / wupload / uploadstation etc. that don't have so many subscribers like Oron but they don't have these ridiculous download limits. A HD movie is 1 - 1,20 GB. If somebody likes a megathread with 100 movies, I don't think he is going to download just 20 and wait 3 days in order to download the other ones.
Sometimes I make even 4,000 downloads per day, but it means to work all the day long and to upload not less than 10 GB of stuff every day.

 

I'm not sure 100% but I think it has something to do with how you start your service from the beginning, it's hard to switch later on.
Oron always wanted to be 'webmaster file-host only' and probably based their growth philosophy upon that. This certainly made very much sense before in the hotfile days - site owners as affiliates = less downloading from people, more sales - compared to having posters as affiliates. There's way too much stuff on their servers right now IMO and not enough firepower to let it go down as unlimited. They can't even afford premium files to live forever - which is a STANDARD - other sites keep your files for 3 months or more when you are a FREE user, not premium for Christ sake.

Newer sites start and continue with a different development philosophy obviously and re-arrange their earnings differently to keep themselves going. Their gains are probably more 'realistic' than the much hotfile, rapidshare and megaupload were giving to their affiliates back in the old days - main reason why those sites boomed. Today you need your gains and shares kept fair to survive as a file-hoster because we can choose lots of alternatives.

Could the limit be leeching protection? I'd rather have my stuff leeched away by other people and gain more sales (+ long term rebills) than the opposite.

When I look around, I don't think things are improving for the Oron age, changes and adaptions will have to be made eventually. People are more and more used getting "UNLIMITED" when they pay for a premium acc. This demand isn't "gonna go down" as time moves on.

Their gains might be smaller, although their service does sound better for the same cut, don't get me wrong.
