Build backlinks over time and the position should rise. Like rajeshn07 said, blog commenting and forum posts with a link in your signature are two methods. There are many other methods of getting backlinks. Here are a few more.

3. Social Network Sites (Twitter and Facebook)
4. Pad Submissions
5. Web 2.0 (Hubpages, Squidoo, etc...)
6. Profile Links

There are many more. Also, make sure your on-page SEO is spot on. According to me, the better your on-page SEO is, the less backlinking you have to do to rise in the rankings.

You can get the traffic with the off page technique of SEO like forum posting, blog commenting, directory submission, article submission and social book marking are best.
