I have seen a lot of people are searching for new ways to monetize their website. I wanted to ask all of you that can you still earn decent income from Adsense if you start a new Tech Blog in 2011. As far as I am concerned my Blog is 4 months old and i hardly see any money. So I was hoping if there are others out there who are making a decent income on Adsense. :)

well do you have a successful tech blog? The big guys are making money, are you even close to one of the big guys with your 4 month old baby blog? How much traffic you got? Do you have advertisers flocking your way buying ad spaces?

Actually I'm just earning 0.15 or 0.70 per day in my one blog.. 1 month old blog.. ;) If you improve the rankings of your targeted keywords then it would be fine. Traffic and good content and good placement of your ad sense is the key!

well thats a lot for starter. For 4 months i blogged regularly and now I only get 200 unique visitors a day. Adsense Earning of $5 a month. I started with Weebly but i think shifting to Wordpress and my own domain will help because Weebly takes 50 percent of my Adsense Revenue Income

Yes, website on a free service making 200 uniques a day? You must really know your way among keyword targeting (long tail?).

I used social media marketing, wrote some good posts and still came up with 200 visitors a day. Is it because of my free host. I ma planning to shift to Wordpress and my own host. Will that help?

Rahul if you are from India or China then you have to wait until your new blog is 6 months old, this is google adsense rules.
If you want to earn from your tech blog then immediately start a blog today because 6 months to wait is a long time. Keep adding unique content and with more content your visitors will increase. Target keywords that pay you more and blog about that maintain quality, then the money comes your way.

    Best of luck.

I have a few old well established tech blogs, even they don't earn much, it's a shitty niche to monetize :)

no you are getting me Wrong. I am already accepted into the Google Adsense Program. But due to lack of traffic i hardly see any income and my traffic just hit a plateau recently. No increase and also no decrease at around 200 unique visitors. So I was wondering whether shifting to my own hosting and Wordpress with gain more attention for my blog.

Shifting to your own domain will definitely give you that 50% you are giving to weebly but i can't say why you are earning less. Your keywords might be low paying keywords try using some high paying adsense keywords in your tech blog and get visitors to those keywords. This is what you have to do, to increase your earnings.

Use the google keyword tool to find good and high paying keywords. Blog about those keywords, there is no reason you will earn less unless you are targeting low paying keywords.

Tech blogs are are a hard niche to crack as there's so many of them out there. Pick out a specific niche and target that audience

I have a tech blog with decent traffic and have only made 11 cents in the last three months via AdSense.  Most people who read my blog are running ad blocking software or just don't click ads.  I think monetizing a tech blog with ads is a waste of time personally.
