God started revealing the verses of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at the age of 40. At that time everyone knew him as a trustworthy person. He was know as 'the truthful' among all the people. He was not literate, he could read or write. When he started revealing the verses of the Quran, the people rejected him for the greed of wealth. Because he was speaking against there false gods and goddesses. People from all around used to come to worship these false gods in Kaaba which was the major source of income for those people and He was speaking against those false gods. The language of Quran is so unique that the Arabic language grammar has been made using the Quran. The book has no contradictions and there is nothing that contradicts scientifically proven facts. Can this be the work of one who is not able to read and write.
Webby, you have plagiarized a post - This forum will have no credibility if people as you and others are allowed personal grandizement of Established Literary Codes of Ethics.
Most people in mental hospitals who believe that they are God, Jesus or Napoleon are also quite honest and really believe it. It is called Schizophrenia and part of symptom is audio and/ or video hallucinations.
It doesn't sound like he was considered or known as 'the truthful' among all the people. He wasn't very happy in Mecca, so then he goes to meditate in a cave. Three years after spending time in a cave, he began preaching in Mecca saying he had a revelation. To say the very least, he was not well-received (not considered 'the truthful' among all the people). That's why he had to actually flee Mecca (and go to Medina). Then he went to Medina, built up forces over time, and eventually returned to Mecca to conquer by force, right? Anyway, to say these people rejected him because they were greedy, who knows? It was probably for a variety of reasons, many probably thought he was delusional or lying as well. But, it's there decision, they obviously didn't want to buy what he was selling, c'est la vie. As far as the contradictions in the Qur'an, actually I've read quite a few of them. That would be an entire thread unto itself, and probably wouldn't be that productive as it would just be a bunch of people saying "Yes it is!" ..."No, it's not!" lol.
If the Christian version of God is Jesus, then he himself ruled out that he's God: Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone." (Mark 10:18)" Here he says that his teaching is not his: “So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me†(John 7:16) So he was a messenger. Here he tells you that a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him: “I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him†(John 13:16) So Jesus and God that sent him, are not equal. Now that I have proven that Jesus is not God, will you abandon your faith or will you continue in your blind following?
The fact is that there are simply too many sects, branches and churches to even begin to make statements concerning Christianity. The same goes for other religions too. In my opinion, God is someone who has the abilities to create and destroy. Only humanity truly has these powers, therefore we have the potential to be Gods within ourselves.
That speaks volumes regarding the credibility of the cult. Even it's members can't agree on what the tenets are. If this is supposed to be a message from god, and a vital message at that, his performance when it come to delivering it to us was frankly incompetent and that of a cretin.
The next stage is understanding how your God interacts with the other Gods and affects each one of them differently. Discover how all of your thoughts are collected by those around you, if not acted upon by you, and learn how others will do your bidding. There's a 'bigger' force alright (IMHO).
This obviously is a misquote by the Saint. Mankind is expelled for not being as described above and correcting the error is the simple religion Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all three based on.
most christians believe that jesus is the son of God, Â and then it's how your put it together from there: Â - there's a special bond between father and son that others can not broach - the father's essence is transmitted to the son somehow - the connection is so intimate that they are one of the same etc. it's not a mis-quote from it's text. Â first understand that he is saying God is good, and to God man is not, including his son made flesh at the time. Â the quote before this one says that a person asked how to get to eternal life, well you are not getting there in flesh. i guess trying to be as good as you can be indicates to God if you are worthy enough for eternal life.
Just remember, whether you are saying God exists or doesn't exist, you are making a positive claim and if you are making a positive claim you should be able to back this up with some manner or kind of permissible evidence. I look forward to seeing what anyone making a positive claim about existence or non-existence has to put forward. It should also be mentioned that there is no divide between science and religion. More scientists are agnostic than atheist, and a lot of religious people through history have been powerful catalysts in the scientific community. Just food for thought.
