Obama Adminstration Selling Guns to Mexican Drug Lords? REALLY???

I believe it was a violation of federal law.

However, I think that it is going to come down to an interpretation of federal law, which neither of us are qualified to do. Also, it is politically impossible that a U.S. Attorney General would order an investigation into himself.

I also believe that a program of the size and scope of Fast and Furious must have had the approval of Attorney General Eric Holder. I base this on the fact that Holder admitted to knowing about Gun Runner, and F&F was an extension of that program. Also, this was a huge program with a hefty budget. Common sense dictates that Holder would have to know about a program this big, especially since no one has stepped forward to admit that they were responsible for that program. However, if Holder decides to deny involvement, then neither of us can say with 100% certainty how extensive Holder's involvement was. Maybe he didn't think it would stink as bad as it did, or maybe Holder was duped by subordinates that insisted the program would be a success.

To me, being the United States Attorney General is like being Chairman of the Federal Reserve - you can get away with a lot of shit because it's way too easy to avoid oversight.

 

I'm not talking about who's in the White House at the time. I'm referring to the controlling party at the time of the administration.


The party in control of the Executive Branch is the Administration.

And as pointed out previously the Democratic Administration balanced the budget and paid down the deficit only to have the proceeding Republican Administration lead the country into the deepest Recession since the Great Depression.

Breeze, a Republican led Congress both balanced the budget and created a "surplus deficit" by forcing the "Administrative Mantle" to sign off on it.

Predictions? I'm pretty content with the outcome of the election. I've got no reason to vote in recall election since 1) there are none in my district and 2) we already voted once. So far things are much better than they've ever been in our state. We got a balanced budget and cut spending without raising taxes and did it in a little over 2 months. Compare that to Obama's admin in 2 years in office.

 

There has been no news about Wisconsin but the one article posted - a little surprising as it is an interesting development.

One year later, Holder is still brazenly obstructing justice while defying subpoenas to provide documents to Congress on Fast & Furious. House Republicans chose to wait until now to file Contempt of Congress charges against Holder (hey, there's an election in five months!). After all this time, Holder still refuses to tell the American people WHO authorized the program in the first place.

Whistleblowers in Holder's Justice Department are so disgusted that they leaked Fast & furious documents - including the applications for wiretaps . Holder is responding by suspending whistleblower protection and beginning prosecution. Meanwhile Holder has been denying that the leaked documents even existed.

You can't make this shit up. I hope they make this into a movie.

Contempt of Congress vote for Holder next week. Eric Holder is the anchor that is dragging Obama down.

For those that thought this would go away... It appears unless Holder has a sudden desire to comply with the aging subpeona he's been trying to avoid complying with he's likely to be found in contempt of congress by this time tomorrow. No man is above the law, and Holder just thought he was going to be an exception. Clock is ticking.

After finally dropping the 'it never happened, we didn't allow guns to walk' story... {which they stuck to until proven a lie}, Holder has consistently clung to a story that there was NO White House involvement in the Fast and Furious operation.

Now, on the cusp of the vote to call Holder in contempt of congress... the President has invoked "executive privilege" over the documents.

Interesting. Executive privilege only applies if the conversations included White House involvement.

Is there an alternate plane of existence where...

• --- the White has has no involvement but
• --- the docs are protected due to White House involvement?

Those two cannot co-exist in the same reality.
