British government was the reason for all the worlds miseries, whereever the britishers went there was nothing but sorrow and miserings (Iam not commenting on the present ).,

India's wealth was totally looted by the moghals and then by the british.,

Americans are the sole reason for the looted indians to atleast live with pride., since most work to indians come from america.,

    How do you figure?

Wars, poverty, murder, rape, slavery, genocide, starvation, gendercide, racism, ethnocentrism, etc etc. that all ocurred before "Indians were slaughtered".

By "Indians" themselves as a matter of fact.

Because that's what many of "them," myself included, prefer to be called.

It's actually true, the bigger tribes helped round up smaller tribes.
Same thing happen with slaves, the bigger tribes would go out and capture smaller tribes and give them to the white man to be used for slaves or breeding, it made less competition for food and resources.

Historical sources proving the contentions above? Poverty, for example, was a fact of life and this was no "Native Paradise." But it varied by climate and economic zone, primordially, and there is no evidence that I have seen establishing that it was an intentional program, "By Indians," as you contend. I'd like to see the sources you rely on to make the claims you make.

By the way, for anyone interested in a good book on a topic not often researched, see Herbert Klein's A Population History of the United States. Chapter 1 deals with the demographics of American Indians for the period from paleo-crossings to conquest and settlement America.

They have no other forum (no pun), so the internet has become a soapbox for them to rant. Some of them really believe that someone somewhere is listening to them and gives a hoot.

It's quite comical to say the least. It is also interesting to finally gain some insight into the thought process that guides a moonbat.

Not to take this in a different direction, but since you mentioned this point, I thought you might find this an interesting read.

I'm not offending anyone, or intending to. I'm just surprised that's all. Technically Indians live in India, so I thought Native Americans would be preferred to be called Native American. Or the name of their descended from tribe, like Cherokeean or something. Quite similar to blacks, they preferred to be called black rather than "coloured"?

I've never met Native Americans before, it's not as if there are many in England. Just curious that's all!

Well, outside of Paul, American Indian, yes. Now, I don't want to mislead - I am mostly French blooded. But this is the way I prefer to refer to the Indian part of my family line. Many do - see here and
here, for a couple. The indigenous people up our way, of the Ojibwa, bear the tribal name, the
    Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.

Just like you - you are an individual, and prefer to be called an individual way. There is no "one right" way to refer to anybody. Interesting information, from Native Institute:

The problem with those pesky assumptions, my young brother, is that they tend to cut off further investigation.

Interesting, thanks for further extending my knowledge, I'll read some more into that :)

Hmmm this has me thinking, maybe someone should make a thread where everyone can post their ethnicities and genealogies

you know its kind of sad but it was probalby better before we invaded, at least people knew if they kept their heads down and didn't question saddam they probably wouldn't be killed

now people get killed just for having a name that is common to one of factions

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/mai...rq02.xml&sSheet=/news/2006/04/02/ixworld.html

like if you name is "omar" and you run into the wrong people you are dead

God, that is horrible. I've studied this part of the world, and yet I am surprised at the depth of sectarian hatred. Thanks for the link.
