I have been using edomz since 7 days or so. Now, they are asking for a w8 form to process payments. Why is this Form Required ? I am a non US Citizen and do not have any business in USA. Then What form do i need to fill of the w8 variants. Where to get that form ? Thanks.
US based companies usually ask for w9 or w8 form, w9 form is required by US residence and w8 form is required by all other countries, because US has strict tax rules, so US companies has to show proof of every payment they make, and thats why you have to fill up a w8 form, it has nothing to do weather you have business in US or not, its just for companies own record or purpose or in case if they have to show proof who they paid. Its only for companies own purpose, it makes no difference in your tax or not going to report to your country. Its very simple form, all you have to fill up is name, address, sign and check few option, thats all, if you need help let me know, I am from India and filled w8 form many time, all I would suggest is, you fill it up once and keep a copy in your computer, because if you regularly work in internet than other company may also ask and you can simply send them same copy.
