Here's the details: This logo needs to be animated and touched up a bit. The gears in the logo (seen closer here) need to be turning (clockwise). In addition, the logo needs to look great against this sort of background, so I would appreciate if you could put your samples over that as well. Entries will be judged based on: - Smoothness of Animation - Size options or Vectorization - Quality Please post all entries on this thread. Thanks, and good luck. Will choose a winner in 2-4 days depending on the interest. Payment will be through PayPal.
Do you mean rotating like this? There are 2 gears, so if one is rotate clockwise, than I think the other should be the opposite. I haven't change the background yet, just to make sure that I'm on the right path or not .
Mikosan is on the right track. The logo simply needs to be animated and touched up a little, so no major changes. Also, mikosan, could you make the animation loop smoother? There is a slight hiccup currently.
Here I make the animation loop smoother (no hiccup): And below I try to preview on the background you're prefer with, well I make a couple changes on the logo color so it still visible on the dark background: Available in .gif animation and .swf (flash file) format.
Don't change the letter colours please. Is there any other way you make it stick out? Also, feel free to touch up the gears (I really like what Patrat did), but don't make them completely different as this logo is still going to be their offline identity. Otherwise good stuff, will make a decision when everyone submits entries.
This is the base animation. You can have a look at the quality and I have kept in mind the size of the animation. Size: 103kb Size: 155kb Let me know what changes to make and maybe, we can add something more to it. Looking forward to your feedback.
The winning image must be able to be converted/made into gif, yes. Also, the winner should be able to provide the image in a few different sizes to suit the needs of the site. Also, after having talked to my client, they prefer the slower moving gears to the faster moving ones, and would like the larger gear to be black, not purple (as in the original). Thanks, and a winner will be chosen later tonight.
The winner is thetrashpan for his first submission. For those wondering, the client liked the fact that his submission stuck to the original colors, features seamless animation, and is slow enough so as to not pose a distraction. I will be contacting thetrashpan for different sizes and payment details. Thanks to all entrants.
