I am going to be there for just over a day, on my way to New Zealand.

What should I do in so little time?

I was thinking about a sightseeing tour on those buses, a dinner and cruise around the harbour, anything else that you would recommend?

    Thank you for any help!

I would suggest taking the cruise. It's more relaxing that way with only a day to spend in Sydney.

I was just there 20 years ago. The harbor is incredible, take a harbor cruise if you can. Besides that walk around The Rocks, get a tour of the Opera House, go up the Sydney tower, and generally walk around downtown. Try meat pies and chips while you're there.

    You'll be right, mate!

    Thank you all!

I'll try and make the most out of just a few hours.

Yhe Sydney tower sounds good! Aren't there any security issues?

Oh well, I'll just get a sightseeing bus and basically hop on and off during the day, maybe hire a car by the hour and do the dinner cruise.

    Australia, here I come! :)

Well I ended up doing the double decker tour, walkabouts, shopping at the Victoria building mall, and I hired a car and randomly visited the town suburbs, actually went to see old family friends' houses.

I have to go back and visit Australia only, I want to see tasmania and melbourne also.

And I want to dine at the top of the tower, we didn't book in time and they wouldn't take any other reservations when we tried at the last minute.

I then had to leave for Auckland where I stayed only a few hours before getting on a ship and going to Waiheke for a day.

I'm in the Bay of Islands now and waiting to get off.

Unfortunately it's dull and rainy but I knoq I am going to have fun anyway!

    :)

    Thanks for the help everybody!
