I am new to Facebook marketing, so please guide be how to leverage an account with a large number of friends. What can the possible uses of an account with 5000 friends?
With 5000 friends, you can post a new article from your website on there and reach at least 500-1000 people at once.

You can do many things with your facebook friends and/or twitter followers. When you update your status, some of your friends will see it... You can tag your picture (with ads on it) to your friends... You can suggest your facebook page with your friends... And many more... Just use your imagination
Since the limit number of friends is 5000, you can convert your account to an page to increase the number of fans (Only your fans can invite their friends to your page after you converted account to an page). Then post your product/website/service information on your page, all of your friends will get the information, reply fan's comment to make your page actively and attract more fans to your page.
Yeah, I'm going to have the agree with the others on this one, especially since Facebook doesn't think you really have 5,000 friends/family in real life and is much more of a personal contact platform for your actual friends/family. You should definitely do what the others suggested, especially the Fan Page because it allows much more of a leverage on what you want, which is friends/fans, for your page. Instead of making multiple accounts, just make the fan page and see how it goes, get the word spread etc. Start slow with the fan page, I don't see why multiple accounts need to be used when you can have a large majority/all of them on that one fan page.
Ok let's guy real Guys. This what you can do to monetize your friends. (if they are not fake profile) Option : 1) Create a facebook page. It could be something funny, serious, or anything that involved their emotion. e.g : i like to sleep while driving. etc ... Then when you get enough fans, open for advertising or flip the fan page. 2) Create a facebook application (games n stuff) This is the easiest one. And now guys.. you got yourself a passive income. 3) Sell stuff using soft selling technique. e.g of post : " Having fun building my first green house!, wow.. what an achievement. Satisfy.
