Hey, I provided a source. And I even did so using your search keywords. I never said you were a liar. I simply asked out of respect, if could please provide me with a source for your claims. I am quite interested in the subject. I was alive and aware of the world around me in 82' (when the Cards won the Wolrd Series) i.e., the Faukland War. You made a claim that sounded interesting, naturally it would be nice to see an actual documented and credible study that supports your claims.

You could tell me that the sky is purple and argue about it till you turned blue in the face. Given what I know about what the sky appears to look like to me and what others have told me about the sky's colour for several years now, I would ask you to provide me with a source for your claims.

This forum is full of false claims.. Someone asking for a source is not an insinuation of doubt, it's merely a respectful way of saying, hey, I've not heard that before, I heard something different, please convince me why what I heard is not the truth.

Like? There are all kinds of studies and statistics surrounding the Vietnam War and the lasting affects that conflict had on US Soilders. I will grant you that most of the studies I have read state that Vietnam Veterans have a higher risk of mental health problems. That does not mean they are all committing suicide as a result. It could be one contributing factor to those that do, or have. I'm the son of a US Marine E5 Vietnam Veteran. I've seen some long lasting affects on him. Most have to do with a distaste and difficulty understanding scum bags that spit on him as a young Marine. That has made almost everything else he experienced secondary. The irony is, he sees that same dis-respect in the moonbats of today. It has to be completley and utterly discomforting to see history repeat itself. Of course back then it was the hippies who were at the forefront of early moonbatism. They had an exuse... Too many drugs. What's your excuse?

 

You took some pleasure from the fact that there wasn't a source provided, just seemed strange to me. The suicide and war service link is more widely accepted here than in the US I guess.
