Do you think mouse is dead soon? 1. The number of touch screen user is increases rapidly 2. Product such as Magic pad slowly replace mouse. 3. Windows 8 encourage touch screen function.
No I definitely do not think so, it's been used for so long and it would take a really long time for everyone to adapt to touch screen (especially the gaming industry). I think the touch screen is just a hype that is going on right now and will slow down after a while, I might be wrong since people said the same thing when the internet first came along and look what happened.. hehe
The following article and video explain that, mouse is slowly replace by others tool. http://www.apple.com/magictrackpad/ and https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=209095945783703
If split the mouse usage for daily routine work and gaming purpose. Do you think mouse can only survive in gaming area?
I feel like I am getting carpal tunnel when I try to do a lot with a touchpad. Mouse is faster and easier on the hand.
I will tell you frankly that it is very cool and stylish of touch screen but when we practically implement this in our day to day life it not comfort because some time you need to play with mouse with touch screen it is not easy so we cannot say that mouse is dead.
These video explain that, we can work perfectly without mouse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZWLwjbJZ-s Apple Magic Trackpad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qL-GLaB7Ec&feature=related
I don't think mouse is gonna be dead ever. Even when a laptop has touchpad I never use it. Its always easy to use a mouse and do several things via a mouse rather than the touch thing or touch pad.
Mice will never be dead, simply because they can feed off of plants, discarded food, and other edible forms of nutrition abundant where we live... >.> On a serious note, the mouse will never die or, more likely, it will take decades for it to decrease slightly in popularity. Mice have specific uses that, simply put, a touchpad cannot offer. For example, I find it much faster to game and do more actions per minute with a mouse rather than a touchpad (and I tried =S I have an HP Touchsmart PC... and I much prefer my desktop/laptop analog mice compared to the touchscreen technology of that thing). The mouse has many more practical uses, and is cheaper to produce.
Unless you let your cat chase your mouse, your mouse is probably still alive. Mice usually only die when they are killed by cars, cats, and other animals.
I dont think the mouse will ever totally go, i cant sit and work comfortably for hours useing touch screen or the laptops built in pad, but with the mouse i can sit back relax and work at the same time, the laptops built in pad my hand cramps up after 30min to an hour, touch obviously have to be up close to it and moveing,
No I do not think so, even touch pad device have been seen every the mouse is still the king navigation in computers. One excellent example why the mouse will not die is gaming or Computer gaming even though we the PlayStation or XBOX or WII or Game boy it is still a lot more fun to use the mouse in conjunction with the keyboard to play your favorite online and offline games. The mouse will still here for a long time.
