With the launch of Google+ to a HUGE online fanfare, along with the memorable Panda update recently, Google are another step on their way to Web domination. Bearing that in mind, do you use GA to monitor traffic to your site therefore effectively giving Google all your stats or do you prefer to use other traffic monitoring methods? Interested in everyones views on this Mark PS Do I sounds too paranoid yer think? LOL
hmm i am using that , for here on GA , i can analyse my site traffics , visitors , and keywords ! really so useful for me .
I consider the statistics that are shown by AWStats. I think GA is not that accurate, it always shows less than what web server shows. Also since it is a JavaScript, JavaScript must be enabled on the audience's web browser. And i think some web browsers does not even support JavaScript.
I use it because it's free. However, I do feel a bit worried when I think about how much of my personal information they have access too.
I use Google Analytics on my websites and I know they record all our data but hey, they also deliver us the people straight at our doorstep right
You have to trade the benefit of best-in-field analysis with your paranoia ;-) I find GA is by far the best tool - and use it on all my sites where I'll be tweaking the website to optimize it. Once a website is optimized I often delete the GA Javascript
Google Analytics all the way brother. By Google Analytics I can: See where the traffic is coming from (continent, city etc) the keywords used to access the site source of traffic (direct traffic, referring sites or using PPC) the number of visitors to your site on a particular day time spent on your site
Google Analytics gives me a complete summary of what I want to know about my site be it regarding visitors, keywords or time spent on the site
