    I just noticed that selling a site via the DP system in site sales is hurting SERP in mr G

    I think whole subforum should be hidden from SE's

    Listed a site that had nr1 rank for its keyword for a long time, now it's been penalized and bumped about 10 pages back.

    Could seem like mr G is doesnt like site sales.

    I've read about others having same issue and it kinda ruins the purpose of the site sale system

    Side question: How do I request to get my sales thread deleted ?

    Ohh and forget to add following information.

    Nothing was changed on the site for sale. Not moved to new host or domain changed in any way yet.

    Only change was listing it in the site sales section, and bam.. penalized in mr G

    Think about it for a second... do you *really* think we have the power to damage site's rankings in Google? Do you have any idea how powerful that would be if it were true? lol Do you really think Google sat down and wrote some code in their algorithm to spider the sites for sale section, and hurt their rankings if they are listed there? {rolls eyes}

    Either way, you can hide threads from search engines if you select the "Hide From Search Engines" option when creating (or bumping) a sale thread. But it really has nothing to do with being worried about Google hurting rankings... it has more to do with people not wanting their site to show up in Google search results as being "for sale".

    Well as this being one of the biggest webmaster forums on the net nothing woud surprise me when it comes to google.
    I get your message but still thinks there is something to it. This site in question was nr1 for keywords for ages and nothing else was done to it than listing it in that section.

    I've read similar issues from other users not willing to post their url based on previous experince with site listing and serp

    Well, Hide from Se is only for premium members, and current pricing is way to much for people driving this as hobby. Reduce the prices and Im sure you would improve the income from this in the end anyway ;-9
    Or maybe add Hide from SE as an paid option for a $ or two, Im sure that pay off the development in no time.

    Anway thanks for taking your time atleast

    When you create a thread, it's in the extra options when you pick WTS (also shows when you Bump).
