For the Custom Ad feature we don't make payouts, you make money with your ads on the download page. We make payouts just for revenue from premium sales, and we've just started giving 50% from premium sales and we don't have yet any payout request. We will come back with the payment proof as soon as we made the first payment.

Congratz for the good idea. This is way better, and way more fair way to monetize downloads. And be sure that your file host won't go bankrupted. There's no hokus pokus in the system. Allowing a generous 50% of premium share is also great. Most file hosts make you chose between better pay per download or better affiliate share.

You mentioned earlier that you don't plan to allow bigger files but you should. That's the only odd side imho. Adding sharing(on facebook etc.) abilities for video and audio would be another great option, as especially video conquers the future.

BTW. i checked your premium offer page, the "download resume" and "download-accelerator" options are unchecked for premium users in the table.

About the 2 issues you've talked about:

1. about the file size - letting users upload big files will bring us more problems like: big software companies and big movies producers will torture us with copyright issues (the music is enough already, but we can manage it), big bandwith cost and server load that will make us put some limits and we don't want this, we want to keep it clean, as few limits as possible and big download speed, even for free users

2. the download resume and download-accelerator are stopped right now because we have some issues we the last server added, but will take maximum a couple of days to fix it

I tried to upload a little file but, the server won't respond.

 

Didn't happened before and now I've just tested and everything is ok. Also nobody told this before, so I don't know what is wrong. Try changing your browser... mail me with a printscreen if it's happening again.

It's fixed now, seems like a temporary connection problem.
Just tested the audio player and it's not playing.

Sure it's working .. it seems like either you should change your browser(try firefox or chrome) or your files has diferent encoder that jwplayer doesn't accept. I have the last jwplayer installed on the server and it's working with any mp3

 

I'm using firefox 5.0, your mp3 didn't play. I asked 2 friends to check it with different browsers, but it didn't work for them either.
